He's spending the summer learning several foreign languages to cater to our incredibly high number of overseas viewers

I don’t want to start a squabble at such a happy time but “crap and going nowhere” illustrates this misplaced demand for instant success. It’s something that rarely happens. I’d say, that at that time we looked lacklustre, disjointed, not working in harmony or being better than the sum of our parts (which is what a team game needs) Warne was new at the time, had inherited players and little room to buy. He needed time to build that group in to team. He needed to Instill his culture and methods. That took time.  He succeeded.
That is why I get so narky when the knives come out after a couple of bad results. I am going to say the same next season when we are 15th in the table  just had a bore draw at home against a lower ranked side. Patience. 

Apart from improving the defence, midfield and attack, raising the morale and bringing a calmness to the club, oh and winning automatic promotion, I can’t think of anything? Sack him

I've been thinking that for a while.  When he signed for Bristol City promotion seemed a long way off, but now we've achieved it - and I'll admit I don't know much about Bristol City, you can't imagine its a better place to train and play football than Derby.
Shame to see him go, great goal and standing ovation though.  Once a Ram always a Ram 'n all that.

I had the choice to go to either the pub or the golf club yesterday to watch the match live but decided to stay home and listen on the radio - the passion and genuine feelings towards Derby made it a memorable afternoon and, for me at least, much more enjoyable than going out to watch in a pub in North Yorkshire!
They have their critics, but personally speaking I have really enjoyed the matchday team on Radio Derby this season. Its been good to have Ed Dawes back and I hope he sticks around for a good while longer.

The thing with Ed Dawes, is it's easy to forget there are much much worse commentators littering local radio coverage. He's genuinely not that bad, and imo much better for the absence of the rammage banter.
He cares, he does his best, he's frequently been on the end of fans venting frustrations far beyond not liking his commentary.
Graham Richards, Ross Fletcher, Colin Bloomfield (who was not a natural sports commentator and really had to work at it) Owen, Dom, Colin Gibson, Radio Derby genuinely do a really good job of covering DCFC and I'm pretty sure that's because they do love the club beyond doing the job.

Pleased to have Ed back. Love his passion, he is one of us!
