That sounds more than enough although a bit light on the £5m running the club. I reckon he needs to up that to £10m and get some good players in.

Maybe but with season ticket sales etc that will increase income a fair bit. Any new sponsorship deals that can negotiated etc. running costs aren’t currently massive as we have no players virtually

So sick of all this speculation. I know it’s ridiculous but can quantuma come out at least with another one of their “everything’s ok don’t worry” statement?

Better still, let’s have a preferred bidder announcement so that we have a bit more certainty!

Don’t think there will be a preferred bidder mate

Cba with reading through pages and pages of random Tweets purporting to be ITK....so one question I have which may have already been covered is if Appleby is bidding 50 million for the club and Kirchener was given preferred bidder status for a bid 20 million less that that then why didn't Appleby make that bid 2 or 3 months ago.

And why does he value the club almost 50% higher than other interested parties who actually cba to put a bid in?

CK wasn’t buying the stadium which is circa £23-24 mil. So If his offer is £50 mil then it’s only actually around £26 mil for the club. CKs offer was also just the opening payment with additional funds spread over 3 years. AAs bud maybe all on exit for a clean takeover as such.

I read somewhere that the difference in an acceptable deal, and a rejected (-15pts) deal is about £800k-£1.2m. Any further reductions in bid would mean we wouldn't be allowed to exit administration and would not get the Golden Share.

I cannot believe any potential bidder would be so short-sighted as to risk 15points and potential success for the sake of say £1m!

But if potential bidder is truly underbidding, there could well be a rejection from EFL.

This is the bit I don’t get. Surely the minus 15 and the golden share are 2 separate entities? Afterall, Who cares about minus 15 if we’re kicked out the league!!!

We would be relegated for sure. We'll have an attendence of around 16,000 and no players of championship quality. Last season was all about sticking it to the EFL but next season on -15 points, it will be down to the new owner. No group of players will put in 100% every week when it's the owners fault and the fans will throw the towel in also.

But the "bring Mike Ashley in" brigade don't see it.

15 points deduction next season will mean League Two the following season.

Minus 15 won’t be down to the new owner at all. It will be down to MM like everything has.

Why should a new owner pay circa £50-60 mil for something worth half that?

    You wouldnt

I think it’s actually start one season. So you can go into admin after the first day of one season and start the next season in it.

The challenge for us is, we need to come out of admin to sign anyone and offer contracts. If they lets us do those things in admin it make a mockery of the rules, simple as that. We can’t compete starting next season in admin we don’t have the players, so this has to get done and sorted for the fixtures announcement you’d assume so we can then spend 4 weeks mustering a playing squad together.

Apologies you’re correct, I meant play in 2 but only start in 1 ?

Wont let me edit it to put it right ?‍♂️

Ummm what's stopping us playing the entirety of next season in administration?

There's no rules about how long a club is allowed to be in administration for - look at Wigan, Portsmouth etc

Why are the EFL suddenly getting all precious about us potentially going into next season in administration, they weren't particularly bothered about it for the past season.

The only thing stopping us is proof there are enough funds to complete the season.

Also you can only start 2 seasons when in admin fyi

I think this is right I’d say at least 6 weeks for a new deal to go through  if CK loses out .

Someone said we could start the season in administration which I would think is a likely scenario

Not necessarily true. It depends on whether they go with what’s already been agreed or want to change everything.
If they pay the same, have the same agreements over costs etc then all they need to do is change the names in the document’s, so the fit and proper persons test and transfer the money. Could be done in a couple days.
On the other hand, if they restructure everything and change cost payments, purchase price etc then it could be weeks to seek agreement.
That there’s no PB anymore means it’s a straight race. Get the money in the bank and it’s all yours. The fact CKs money is just in holding means any other potential bidder knows they can’t mess about changing the whole structure or they will almost certainly lose out, so I expect it to be done quickly.
All just my personal opinion of course.
