Sadly this will be my last match today. My first was in 1956 as a 13year old, My dad used to take me before that but he stopped going when we went down to the third division north. My mate and I would catch the 12 oclock bus from Melbourne and be the first in the ground. We stood in the Normanton end pigeon loft, I think it was 3 shilling. To this day I remember that team. We were champions in 1957 and I ran onto the pitch after the last match against Southport, Ray Straw scored 37 goals that season, The next ten years saw me start work, get married and have two children, I had moved to Derby, and after my family, the Rams were the most important thing in my life I never missed a home game in those ten years even though we were only an average second division side. And then in 1966 after England won the world cup my mate and I decided to have a season ticket, Little did we know what would happen that season, I was at work one day and a Rams supporting work mate told me we had signed a player from Bradford Park Avenue, his name was Kevin Hector I'd never heard of him but he was without doubt the most wonderful footballer to grace the Baseball Ground I had ever seen, and because of this we wanted to see more players like him which led to Tim Ward getting the sack and BC becoming Manager, what followed was ten years of unbelievable success and enjoyment. And then things started to go wrong off and on the pitch and I stopped being a season ticket holder during Peter Taylors time as manager, i still loved The Rams of course and when I turned 65 and retired my old mate from Melbourne and I bought season tickets again. But sadly covid left my best friend of 80 years with a dementia problem and he know no longer knows me. For the last two seasons I have been going alone to the match but its just not the same for me. Therefore I am calling it a day, as I write this I am welling up as I will do this afternoon. Thank you Derby County for every thing I will love you till I die.

Love this; underpass is part of my route to Pride Park. Hope it doesn’t get vandalised. We need more of this sort of street art.

Warne's philosophy has been to stay calm, not get too high/low, keep believing in a steady process. He actually means it and the players seem to follow it.
So it would be a massive deviation if he started making wholesale changes,  sticking players on the bench to give a grand farewell etc. Would send a dangerous message.
I expect no changes unless injury forces it. Sibley and Wilson, Adams, Smith and Thompson. NML out of position.  Plenty of attacking options off the bench.

I can see Bolton absolutely busting a gut to get an early goal. They can go for it til halftime and try and go a goal or two up and put the pressure on us.
Going steady doesn't work as if our game is still goaless they  need to play a full strength team for 90mins, potentially to no avail. They may as well throw caution to the wind and play a ton of strikers and if they concede so be it, at least then they know they can rest players 2nd half.  Also psychologically if they lose there is no ill-effect, they know they didn't play their typical game.
It makes it dangerous for us as they have nothing to lose, they are high odds so they may as well roll the dice for the big pay off.
An early goal for Bolton will send a few nervous waves around the crowd.
Possibly Peterborough knowing they are already out of it means they are less likely to blow up... they know they are there just to keep ticking over. I'd be sending them out to keep it tight and hit Bolton on the break.
.I anticipate Derby keeping the ball for periods. Relatively conservative and run Carlisle ragged and bring on the subs regularly if we can't score. Would love to see us coming smashing out the gates but can't see it.
I think Bolton will give us a scare but concede and we will eventually win a tight game.

Me and Mrs Chester are 6 episodes in.
Its definitely very deliberately paced, shot, acted....the dialogue is very stilted and Scott himself answers everything minimally.
Mrs Chester keeps saying 'why would he do that' or 'that doesn't make sense', and the choices that he makes are sometimes inexplicable for me too.
It's definitely a series you could recommend to someone and they really don't like it.
I'm in the middle ground. It's slightly too slow for me and whilst I don't mind it not being too accessible I don't really understand his motivations /rationale at times.
The other characters are quite flimsy at times too so I don't really care what happens to anyone.
Maybe a 7 out of 10 for me, something different but not completely sure there isn't a bit of style over substance at times and without the book/film for context I might have given it a pass.

I’m just relieved Warne has rescinded that midfield dispersal order he had in place for much of the season

"Managing upwards" is stressfull in any job when it's needed as I'm sure many of us have had to deal with at times, but this sounds like a really not fun task for the media person to have to deal with.
"but Mr Creosote this is probably libellous and will utterly ruin the clubs reputation in the eyes of the league and many fans...no don't eat me...don't burn my family...give it the second half to even out...please...."

Nowadays the players would be suing him for bullying .and their agents would be feeding stories to the press about them getting counselling for the damage to their mental health (fragile ego). Don't think Ben White would be signing for him anytime soon.

The Championship table is quite daunting.  An awful lot of teams with Premier League experience and cash. Plenty of big clubs with lofty ambitions.
I'd take midtable, decent crowds, better football, stability and some younger players coming through.

No.  I've only watched live RamsTV when Mel lobbed it in as a freebie during covid.
... But to help you out though, I have been done for breach of the peace (aka football hooliganism) many years ago (1981? v Watford) and have racked up 9 speeding points, albeit not all at the same time, so I'm clearly no saint. Why, I even have a French speeding fine on record... and even an eviction from a Sheffield football stadium, due to my half time behaviour in their toilets (True story, bro!)
I've even had a WPC approach me at the back of the away terrace at Stamford Bridge to ask me to refrain from exposing my genitalia out of the bottom of my shorts... but that's such a long and boring story and not at all embarrassing*, so I won't bore you all with the details!

Would you prefer I backed out of the debate, now my past misdemeanours have been publicly aired and shamed me for eternity?  Or can I crack on wumming this thread, as it's my all time favourite to date!  🤷‍♂️

*Not embarrassing for me, but it clearly was for the WPC, who had obviously drew the short straw, as her 3 male colleagues looked on in raptures!  Poor lass!
