Just passing on what I was told. As a 36 year old married bloke, can safely say becoming an ITK warrior strangely doesn’t appeal to me 😂 Does Clowes have a well documented 4 year Championship plan? (Y) Do we crave to develop players with re-sale value? (Y) Is Jack Thompson incredibly highly rated, having been linked with top 6 Premier League sides during the last 12 months? (Y) Maybe you shouldn’t be so instantly dismissive. May be crossed wires from the source, but then again maybe not 🙃

Maybe we feel if he plays a season as a young number 1 and does well the big clubs will come sniffing and we can really "cash in" for the first time on a young player. English keeper, season as first choice, decent contract length? That's 10mill please. Everyone wants the next hart or pickford who were both young number 1s.

Tyrese Francois, a 23 year old Australian out of contract at Fulham this summer on loan at Vejle Boldklub in Denmark where we know we’re looking. Fulham have kept him around for the last few years giving him the odd game here and there. His defensive stats are incredible and is the 98th percentile for defensive actions.

His defensive stats in comparison to Ebou Adams per 90 to show how good his stats actually are. He’s left footed so the two of them could actually play together pretty should we get them.

Lots of positives about him as he knows the English game, works hard, is on a free and is at a good age with up side.

Good suggestion. Anyone know what app or site is used to get these stats?

Someone I have been impressed by is James Trafford, the young lad playing in goal for Burnley, although he didn’t play on Saturday. Given the amount of pressure the Burnley defence has been under, ge has done exceptionally well whenever I have seen him.

I should hope he has impressed you seeing as they signed him for 15mill, rising to 19mill from man city after staring in the England under 21 side in the summer.

Think a new contract for wildsmith might be a bit more in our reach

  4. What's funny is some of their fans trying to save face on twitter by saying its the best thing that could happen to the club. Talk about drivel.

They are already listing all the players that they should sign as they will have huge transfer funds and of course their big stadium.

I predict very low crowds, lots of players coming in and out of the club who they will grow to despise when they aren't 10 points clear by Christmas, their better young players picked off by average teams in the division above.

Take your medicine, do your time and pray you get out first time because I have a feeling if they don't it will be very hard and their planned 60,000 stadium will have less than 10,000 in there.

45% wage bill to turnover apparently.

    I don't believe that for a second.

Why would it be put out multiple times in the public domain if there isn't any truth in it?

For years, even before administration, the club has been crying out to be run sustainably and fornus to cut our cloth accordingly. The catastrophic events leading to administration forced that upon us.

The days of big money signings, stupid wages, bloated squads and contracts weighing us down are long gone. Maybe I am on my own in this but I do not miss this element for one minute and hope we will create a club to be proud of in the knowledge thst players arent here for a paycheck.

    My time is now...

Full kit, shin pads and a battered old pair of puma Kings spotted looking at patio furniture or an estate agents window in town with a room booked at Moorley Hayes.

  7. Even if we only spen 25% of that money it would really help a rebuild. Moxon and branagan for around 1.5mill combined would be a fee range I think is not silly or undervalued. Coupled with a young asset of our own like Robinson or tomo getting more minutes and a chance to impress.

  8. I think the problem we have with our young players and "stars" is that we hold on to them for too long and sell them on their downward price value. Some say it shows ambition to hold on to your best players. It does, however, and hindsight is a wonderful thing, selling players and reinvesting in a quality replacement and s young up and coming player has to be our business policy.

Thinking back to Hulse, Martin and thinking about Bird, Cashin, Sibley we will never receive a value our fans think is acceptable for them to leave. Sometimes you do have to sell assets at a good value, suck it up and move forward.

Sibley will never be sold for anywhere near the rumour of what wolves were prepared to pay before and during his breakthrough.

Fans see a lack of ambition in selling young players, however if we got anything around 3mill for Bird, we could potentially go and get moxon and branagan and bring through Robinson. For me, this would not be lacking ambition, it is rebuilding a midfield by "sacrificing" a good player to aid this process.

I don't want cashin or Bird to leave and rate them both highly but if we got between 5 and 7 mill for them combined I would sell them both and rebuild. These are the times the club is living in. We have to embrace this as a fan base.

When the club is stable and sustainable, then we demand top dollar for the next generation.

Young players impressing in the first team is where the value is. It is risky as they can sink or swim, but if Brown was up top for us and having the season Collins is and on a long term contract we would be talking 10mill for him.

This really interests me. Maybe we need a data driven, ai, modern scouting thread created on here where we can suggest players based on having never seen them play, bizarre I know, but I was once told that "eyes can lie" by a well respected chief scout.

Identify players based on data, stats, hell even football manager data is at an unprecedented level of accuracy and research, then go and watch them or trial them.

Maybe im just thinking out loud a load of rubbish.

Was just about to type the very same.  Surely the player will know that every club has idiot fans and good fans? Would be insane to turn a move down on the circumstances described above.

It was a choice between about 4 clubs who were in for him at the time. He chose another and was very very successful for them and got a very decent move again a couple of years later. It wasn't the only factor and it wasn't derby who I'm talking about

  11. I've been in and around the game and know a few players. I can 100% tell you direct from a player that their true opinions of fans are never spoken in public. They know where the aggressive moaners sit near the front of the stand and round the dugout, they know which twitter users not to look at, they know which ones will hammer them no matter what and try their best to ignore them at every opportunity.

They also remember the fans, young and old, who wait outside for autographs, photos and chats every home and away game and try their best to remember those fans, their names and their families.

    Players are human.

I also know of at least one player who turned down a transfer to a club based on a friend they had (player) at that club and how the fans had treated him. He was basically told, the fans are idiots, don't sign for us and he didnt

Did the club have any deals on to attract people in? Would be a great chance to give free tickets to schools, bring the kids for free, bogof on adult tickets etc. Seems daft to do nothing and play to an empty ground.

Sometimes this option is not available to the club and ticket prices have to be agreed with the competition organisers (think its used to be like this for the fa cup)

Isaac Olaofe at Stockport looks good just turned 24. Like his current stats, 12 goals in 20 games, 44% goal conversion from his shots with 74% of shots on target. You would'nt want his full name printed on a shirt though, it's Isaac Tanitoluwaloba Aduraoluwatimileyin Olaofe.

Mentioned him a few pages back. Good shout and a player with potential to step up. Looks raw, but his physical attributes are very good. Someone will take a punt on him in January I think and hope it's us.

  14. Manning is a strange one. Pompey had a look at him as their potential manager about a year or so ago I think and basically said "he wouldn't stay long enough for us to appoint him" ie. He would jump ship for a higher job the second it was offered.

Gets teams playing decent football, although his mk dons side were comical trying to play from the back, gave away a goal easily every single game and were very very soft centered.

He strikes me as someone who has ambitions to get "to the top quickly" almost a pound land Graham Potter and realised early on that a style of play was very very important to this and getting the media in particular to parrot this information is important to building a profile.

He has certainly left Oxford in a much much better place, with a stronger squad and infrastructure in place so he must have been doing something right.

If he does well at Bristol fully expect him to jump to a lower prem team/ fallen giant in the championship in about 12 to 15 months.

I'm surprised RD haven't already asked Warne if Bird, Cashin or Sibley have a year's option on their current contracts similar to Knight this summer.

It seems we're all resigned to them leaving for free/compensation if not sold in January.

Players wise for January, that Baker Richardson yesterday for Crewe seemed to give our backline many problems. From a basic eye he seems to be in a similar playing mould to Clarke Harris.

He had a good game. Worked hard and aggressive.

If we are after a big man with pace in behind a decent shout might be Isaac Olaofe at Stockport. Beast of a man with  pace and strand really hitting the goals this year. Only 23 years old and might not be a huge fee.

Interesting selection. Look forward to seeing how it goes. We've had no consistency for a long time so this appears to be Warne's attempt to find it.

I've become a bit detached from things so am surprised, for instance, to see Cash on the bench. Hadn't realized he didn't play in the week. Good to see Robinson on there as well as Brown.

Cash was suspended for 5 bookings. Bradley came in and played well so not surprised he has kept the shirt.
