He’s approaching cult hero status for me. Put his body on the line last game of the season and has now signed for (comparative) peanuts. I get the feeling he has a real affinity for the club and wants to help out. He’s a genuinely good human being.

I do think we have too many fans who are not happy to take the rough with the smooth. Life as a Derby fan will provide lots of ups and downs. I struggle to understand that when a team needs all the support it can get and the club needs help financially, fans disappear.
Yes in the rough times it's not enjoyable seeing your team get beat often but we can play our part to help them ride the storm until the good times return. Don't stop turning up if you can help it based on performance. We made Pride Park a bit of a fortress before covid times so it can give us a big advantage if we continue to turn up!

Only thing I got from that RD call that I didn’t know as such is Mel can’t fund the club for much longer…. Said only ‘short term’ whatever short term is.
meaning administration could be on the cards?

He was definitely implying not being able to sustain for long , so that would be an option I would of thought if investment isn't made

This weekend the eyes of the football world will be on the Rams. Absolutely no point in turning up to protest - that would just be a huge shot in the foot. The situation is what it is. Let's turn up, cheer and support WR and the players. 3 points from a win will give the players a huge boost; siege mentality, fans behind them, nothing to lose. We're in this together. If you can keep your head when all about are losing theirs and blaming it on you...

Top 3 for the past 2 seasons.
After 41 games last season we were 2nd on minutes to U21s to Blackburn (9765 vs 9832), and 2nd to Reading for minutes to academy graduates (9154 vs 12970)

The argument could be that by not playing them, we hindered their progress. Even by giving them a few minutes here and there, we could have boosted their value and got small fees for them. McAllister and JML effectively both left for nothing in the end.
Lowe had an excellent spell in the side in 16/17, including MOM vs Wolves. It wasn't until 19/20 when he had another run in the side. Bennett made 28 apps in the league up to and including 13/14. He made just 7 more before Lampard came in and made him a regular - yielding 8 goal contributions in just 1256 league and playoff minutes.
These two examples will be the main ones Mel would have been referring to.

Hanson, Rawson, Vernam, Elsnik and Guy are other notable victims of managers opting for a bloated squad.

Fair play to @Davidfor representing the forum and i pressume he did his best to get our questions out there.
From what i have seen though David left early to get his train home? Surely it would have been more ideal to send someone who could actually stay the duration of the meeting as we want as much information as possible?
Just going to have to rely on other fan groups write ups i suppose.

Mel knows better than every manger he’s hired according to himself. You cant just flood a team with academy graduates, you have to blend it with experience and bed then in gently, not just throw them to the wolves!!
    the bloke is ******* deluded

My guess is it was a resounding waste of time....  Nothing really said that we didn't already know and Mel has got his obligation to hold a fans forum done and dusted.  I would have thought if there was anything really juicy, it would have been in the public domain by now!!!

I think we need to get answers to every point on this, including the details behind each one. Why are we the only club in the entire football league default in payments to the HMRC. Do regulation 16.2, 16.3 and P&S non-submission of audited accounts really relate to purely amortisation or is there more to it?

This is as of this morning.

It would appear that insufficient due diligence was carried out on the prospective sales to BZI and Erik Alonso.
Who carried out due diligence and what measures have been put in place to ensure that we are not sold to such an unprofessional outfit?

Supporters are aware that the club is very much up for sale, but what is the plan for the next few years should a takeover not come to fruition?

Ok opening question - given the prolonged issues at the Derby County do you consider the level of communication from the club to the supporters to be adequate enough?
What reticence or reluctance has there been from the club to provide supporters with as much information as practicably possible?

Can you give a cast iron guarantee you'll continue to fund the club with the minimum amount needed to ensure survival as a club, until any takeover how ever long that will be?

    Second question was:
    2) Will everything that is discussed in this meeting be made public to all Derby County supporters, or will NDAs be put in place to prevent this?
