Areas like Balsall Common and where I live are blighted by construction work on the HS2 for the next few years, local roads are forever being closed then moved or altered, plus dust blowing in from the construction can be a problem when we get a dry spell, so beware of this when selecting your location.
Personally, unless I was good friends with someone local, I would rent somewhere for a few months and get a feel for the area, before buying a property.

You will need to get used to adding the “u” in neighbour back in Blighty 😉

I confess I have never seen that as a requirement, so have circumvented any complicated problems. Meanwhile:

I did a few options on The Fishy predictor.
Just plugging in us losing every game still had us finishing in 5th place. This makes sense because even Lincoln the form team would need to win 6 out of 7 games to get to 79 points.
Other more realistic predictions entered for the top 5 teams suggested we still need 92 points to be sure of 2nd, so the team just need to focus on winning every game and watching the target decrease as others slip up. Win our home games, win at Cambridge, draw at Northampton and Wycombe - it doesn't seem impossible.

DCCT 10k earlier today. There may be restrictions around Pride Park. It usually takes ages to clear everything up.

I seem to (loosely) recall some ridiculous parking restrictions a few years back, effectively stopping anyone parking there from going into the club shop (can't remember the details now!), but I'm almost certain they got removed, and all is good again now.
I'd simply pull in, double check any signage for peace of mind, and report back here for info for others.
Any problems, nip over the road to the bigger car park adjacent to the DW Sports (or whatever it's called now?)/subway/F&B's etc.
 
*I do park right in front of the club shop now and again, but that's on a week day, at 06:50 hours, and specifically hunting for one, more, or all of breakfast/pastries/hot baked goods/sandwich/cakes/donuts/etc... and the club shop staff aren't even out of their pit at that time of a morning!  👀

One thing's for certain... it wasn't full.
My seat was empty, due to me being on a hospital bedside vigil from 3pm yesterday until we said goodbye to my almost-93 year old F-I-L at 17:15 today, at which stage I was still none the wiser as to the fantastic news emanating from the other side of town!
I'm gonna leave the matchday thread catch up for now, as I'm shattered, suffice to say, I hope each and every one of you who did turn up have had a bloody fantastic day.

It was good yesterday, some singing in the concourse pre match and I got to shout and sing at a level that on other days would make me feel a bit of a stand out. If you are naturally polite you can’t help going with the majority in a crowd, so if those around you are subdued then, to an extent you will be too. Football web pages prediction update after today's results

I just looked at the Bolton forum and in their Derby match thread "worthy4England" had posted an interesting analysis of last year's run-in. Basically, with 8 games to go last season, the teams that got over the line really picked up the pace and averaged 2.5ppg from hereon. Of last year's top 6, only Barnsley didn't average >2ppg for the final 8. The last line is interesting that more than one defeat from hereon is likely fatal. Last year it was a sprint to the line. I don't see why it would be different this time around.

I think there's some interest in looking at how many points the last 6 accumulated in the final 8 games, last season.

Plymouth on 80 after 38 = 21
Sheff on 79 after 38 = 17
Ipswich on 78 after 38 = 20
Barnsley on 75 after 38 = 11
Bolton on 74 after 38 = 17
Peterborough on 63 after 38 = 17

Plymouth are on the same tally as the team who won it last season
P2 is 4 points lower
P3 is 4 points lower
P4 is 1-4 points lower (depending on game in hand)
P5 is 3 points lower
P6 is 2 points lower

It suggest that whilst the teams below Plymouth might be a bit adrift, we still might have to accumulate 17-21 points out of 24. There's not a lot of perms that do this (possible I've missed a couple).

17 = 5W, 2D, 1L
18 = 5W, 3D or 6W, 2L
19 = 6W, 1D, 1L
20 = 6W, 2D
21 = 7W, 1L
22 = 7W, 1D
23 = Not possible
24 = 8W

There probably aren't too many losses left in the games with a route to automatics. 1 would be bad, 2 might be fatal.
