Was literally thinking about the view from the outside thread earlier and what it would be like now. It’s depressing to think where we thought the club and that team was heading after that play off final defeat.

I’d be there and at the next game but at a wedding this weekend and stag doo for boro - forest (well Salford) will be my first game!! 

Unfortunately, I think a lot of things said behind these closed doors will become Chinese whispers with all of the original intent lost.

Agree with all of this - but I do again think on the last part the same logic can be applied. Any investor who has done their research can see in the last 20 years when Derby ‘does well’ the attendances shoot up and you can fill the stadium or near to if the fans have a club to be proud of (and the prices aren’t too ridiculously high). I think any new investors core aims would of course to be successful on the pitch but to get those fans back in (the two largely go hand in hand) I remember it was something stevie Mac said when he first arrived, that he wanted to get the stadium full again because he knew the support is there. Any takeover should give renewed optimism and you’d imagine the attendances would bounce back up a little. Then it’s up to the team to get the rest back in - because no one likes to see a half full pride park.

In the interview on radio Derby he didn’t mention Mel walking away, he said it might put off potential investors. Personally, protests against football boards are nothing new and in many cases most takeovers have gone through anyway - I mean the new investors would be seen as the heroes so as long as they run the club correctly they have nothing to fear. Think Mel is wrong on the impact of protests. 

Finding out I do a lot more on a Saturday than going to watch Derby, I have a child on the way (should be today waiting for the hospital to give us a bed) negativity coming out the club also turns me away
