Survival. Build from there. That’s being realistic.
Whilst we have spent a long time in the Championship before, that was then, this is now.
We’ve had 2 seasons out, a squad built on scraps under restrictions and now a newly promoted side where we need to build a new midfield and attack.
If anyone is seriously looking at top 6, not sure what to say, it’s ok looking at Ipswich but back to back promotions are not the norm, they have done incredibly well under totally different circumstances. A team has been built under no restrictions over a period of time.
To bring Warne into this, for me he stays unless we’re struggling in the bottom 3 and a gap is starting to build. If we’re finishing games with 20% possession, 1 shot on target and winning games 1-0 putting us mid table, I would take that all day long to get a Championship season under the belt and reassess the situation next summer.
So yeah, staying in the Championship is all that matters.

😢 in the end he was a surprisingly good addition to the club. There’s a sense of closure in a way that a number of those who joined after admin to help rebuild the club are heading off with a sort of “mission accomplished”.

If anyone has listened to the rival league one fans views on SBW podcast, then I imagine you also won't be able to avoid a chuckle at Bolton's current plight

Great news, always had a soft spot for them after meeting up with some of their fans on an away day up north, we had a kick about at a services , good lads, think we were on the way to Middlesbrough and they were going to Darlington I think

I really like Torquay as a club, hopefully they can work back towards the EFL with more stability.
They’ve just hired Paul Wotton after poaching him from Truro, I think he’ll do a good job there too.

Very true, although we reached 2nd much later in the season and stayed there, aside from 1 week I believe when Bolton overtook us
We pushed Bolton all the way, and pushed them fully over in March to overtake. Then we stayed there.
Peterborough were also around somewhere, making up the numbers.
