The same Bulkhaul that bought debts belonging to Middlesbrough FC ?

I have to say that I came across Steve Gibsons company Bulkhaul, during my engineering career and even though it may seem strange given today’s football rows and Ill feeling; in my experience they were more than ethical, paid their bills, played fair and were thoroughly decent.
What that means 20 years on and in the middle of all this I don’t know, but you have to play a straight bat

Late to the party, as I'm only just catching up.  Only read as far as this post on page one.

This is how I see it too.
A £100k fine, which can be appealed by either DCFC or EFL (But NOT Wycombe... whoever said that!!)
DCFC state they will make no further comment until they have seen and digested the reasoning behind the £100k fine.  (48 hours? Yeah, Right!)
The interchangeable fixtures (Yeah, Right again!) relates to any potential appeal against the £100k fine, which in theory could... eventually... lead to a different punishment, be that a points deduction, no punishment at all, or anything in between).
Personally, I'd advise Wycombe not to hold their breath!

    Moving on...
As the DCFC accounts (for 16/17/18) thus far are NOW deemed to be in breach of rule this, and para that, DCFC now have to resubmit those accounts in line with acceptable methods.
DCFC state our new (acceptable) accounting method now has to be met and completed by 18th August (which the EFL failed to mention in their presser).
Only once they are submitted, can any decisions on whether any P&S limits have been breached be found.
IF... repeat... IF... our accounts then go on to break P&S rules, we will no doubt receive a new and separate charge, and a whole new chapter (same but different) will need to commence.  This particular episode will play no part in league fixtures being affected for next season (21/22), and if and when that does eventually happen, I seriously doubt the outcome will affect Wycombe!

If our (crap) attempts at accountancy were genuine, innocent, and simply mistaken, I expect Mel to accept the £100k fine, and kick arses for making him look a bit of a prat.
If our (deceitful) attempts at accountancy were a deliberate attempt to gain an unfair advantage, with the hope of getting away with it, I expect Mel to accept the £100k fine, and breath a huge sigh of relief, that the punishment was nowhere near as bad as it could have been.

Of course, whether anyone at DCFC is now pooing bricks knowing... or strongly suspecting... that our resubmitted accounts (at 23:57 on 17th August 2021!) will fail P&S, is anyones guess!

We’ve been operating as the accounts have been fine as they have been approved and signed off.
As with your analogy, you’re not going to save that kind of money if you’re not expecting a fine.
Same with the club, spending money.
    It’s just wrong.
If the EFL have decided that our accounting method is actually not allowed, ok, that’s fine, understood, but don’t go looking for retrospective punishment.
Say from the 23/24 season onwards all clubs must use X accounting method. Done, dusted, no complaints.

For an organisation to approve and sign off on accounts for 3 seasons, to then turn round and say hold up, you know how we approved those accounts? Yeah, we don’t anymore and decided we want to retrospectively punish you by relegating you.
Whatever your thoughts on Mel, the signings, appointments the colour of his shoes, this is just insanity, it honestly is and it’s vindictive insanity even taking club bias out.
This case should worry every single owner, manager and fan of clubs under the shambolic EFL pyramid.
Including that Championship club where the owner owns another club over in Greece, transferring players between each other to circumvent FFP restrictions without even trying to hide it and the EFL are blind to it.
Our real crime here let’s be honest is being better than Middlesbrough one season, that’s the big issue here.
We’ve upset this little bloke up North sat in his half empty stadium so much he’s had his lawyers out to shake the EFL suits up.
Then you have that Karen Maguire over on Twitter sticking his great big spoon into the mix as it gives him a hard on and appearances on rogue radio stations and podcasts.
    Absolute joke.
Nobody from the EFL will read this, but if somehow you do, fine yourself, fine yourself for being an inept organisation and if you’re serious about looking out for the best interests of the member clubs, sell up, hand the leagues over as you have shown time after time you are incapable of running them, you’re an embarrassment.

Its easy to be derogatory about the owners in this situation but the real enemy is the EFL
They are an absolute joke of an institution and don’t get me started on Steve Gibson and Wycombe Wanderers

Of course I am not happy but we are where we are because of the way football at this level is structured. Mel has made mistakes, he has been badly advised, risks he took didn’t pay off but he individually hasn’t taken us to the brink. There is a whole big story full of reasons and they don’t all come from Mel who has poured a fortune in to this club and compared to many has played a straight bat against a lot of dodgy bowling

We're so slow on the ball still. Grealish taking 4 too many touches everytime he gets it which is at least 4 less touches than our centre halves are taking.
    Take the handbrake off.

Greelish looking sharp and intelligent, Sterling on the ball and I just like McGuire .. kind of what CB’s are supposed to be but with some go faster stripes
How is this the same group of players and manager …the style, tempo and hunger is a world away from the turgid Scottish stuff ?

Hummmm. I am biased because I have red Mancunian blood, but Considering the recent ascendancy of Man City and Klops Liverpool revolution I reckon United have managed to stay at least competitive which says something given their owners who are a toxic bunch in my book. Mel is just short of ready money after investing it in running an enterprise that lost money before he came along, and continues to do so on a regular basis . The Glazers however, mortgaged a profitable (and cash in the bank)  Man United just  to buy it and turn it in to what they call a “franchise” laden with debt.

As for Ole .. he walks on water as far as I am concerned. He put the ball in the Germans net.
Vs Derby .. I am a Ram without hesitation, but against anyone else I’m a Manchester boy.
Hope I can see the game but don’t fancy my chances

Really ? I can tell you that Mel isn’t trying to eek any money out of Derby that he didn’t put there in the first place. For sure he spent badly but the background to that and the failings of others explain it far more than berating someone who has financially backed / underwritten this club solidly for 5 years.

How with FFP / P+S regulations and the club losing money do you propose the new owners realistically invest in the team
If you can’t see that the youth policy was about keeping the club within those strictures then your reasoning and comprehension is dubious

Hi, it's the close season, I'm pretty disillusioned with Derby County after last season, so I am only checking in every now and then to see if there is any news about EFL punishments, takeovers, player transfers, kit launches etc. Of course, there never is but, hey ho, Derby fans get used to waiting.....
But I am amazed to see that the "Cocu versus Rooney" argument between @RoyMac5 and the rest of the world is continuing.
I admire all of your persistence and tenacity but surely both sides should recognize that everyone is entrenched in their views and are never going to change.
Myself, I have been massively frustrated with Roy's stubborn refusal to explain his inconsistent appraisal of the two. But I think we are just going to have to accept it and move on.
Maybe he's hoping if things turn around for the better, he can point at himself as being the one supporter who "kept the faith". A bit like Twitter trolls who start a rumour, one of them has to be right eventually and can then claim they're ITK. I dunno why Roy is doing it. Maybe he just genuinely believes that the circumstances and squad that Cocu had were not as bad as those faced by Rooney. I just don't know.
But I have given up trying to understand. Let's move on.
