I fell asleep ten minutes into the first half and woke up after five.
Seems I didn’t miss much.
A point gained and a mean defence!
Onwards and uppards.
COYR!
Good effort Brammie. I listened to it on RamstTV audio. I switched it off with ten to go as I did not want to hear it if we let in a goal. Wayne and the team are two good strikers away from top eight standard team. Very good effort today from a leggy team.

Awful First half
Awfully good point added to our total. We are a middle of the league standard team

Derby County is being reborn from the centre of its fan base. It is like a snowball rolling downhill with no yellow bits in it. Rooney is revitalising the Club. Welcome to the Alamo.

don't you think it's better to get say minus 16 total this season then clear the slate? A buyer will purchase knowing relegation is possible but will want to know that our chances of coming straight back up are very good. I also think that if we strengthen in Jan and if Bielik is back we could stay up w - 16
Will be interesting to see what the admins agree w the EFL
-4 would be nice unless we get relegated and lose our best players

I think that we can escape -12. We are seven adrift with good goal difference and 36 to play. If we keep our players and get three extra improved players it could go well. If we then lose -9 next season we could maybe make 6th and stand a chance of promotion next season.

A fair outcome will be to pay what we can afford to pay to HMRc and then come out of administration under a new owner so that we can continue to pay HMRC going forward.
You should be negotiating the dea,l mate.

Statto dude. What is the greatest points deduction survived in that team not being relegated.

Wayne said we can overcome the -12. We are playing for pride now. Welcome to the Alamo with Wayne Crockett at the helm. In the parallel universe where no points deductions are allowed, we are three points off the top six and getting better all the time.

Wayne reckons that we can still stay up if it stays at -12 points. I for one agree with him. Administrators surely have a fresh start with negotiations with EFL over the -9 points. Would-be nice to have that one deferred until next season. Why destroy a club by putting off a prospective buyer. EFL are there to manage the rules but not to lose clubs whilst doing it. Big difference between docking -21 with no owner as opposed to one with an owner.

It'd be one of the best seasons ever if we stay up and Forest go down. The dream is still alive ??
If we can win this one and posh lose to Cherries then six adrift with -9 to come

I don't think anyone's painting him as a crook or suggesting his heart hasn't been in the right place. Its inevitable the ending place of an ownership will colour people's judgements though.
The reality is he has condemned us to League One football as we won't overcome the 12 point penalty for administration plus the likely FFP 9 point penalty (brought about by his gambling). Yes, potential buyers have come out of the shadows now we're in administration but was there really no cheap deal Mel could have facilitated whilst he was still in charge?
We talk about his financial gambles as a desire to get us into the Prem but there are gambles & then the kind of gambles that lead to the existential crisis we're now facing. He recognised back in spring 2018 that we needed to rein it in & as a consequence, Rowett left thinking there was to be no more big spending. Little more than 3 months later, we hired Lampard, threw millions around & brought in unbelievable loans for this level - that to me was irresponsibility far beyond a desire to do well. It was this period that incited the attention we now have from the EFL & the rest of the division & to bring in Cocu on a 4 year deal on massive wages, Rooney & spend £10m on Bielik after Wembley 2019 was just astonishing given he was already actively trying to sell the club.
To my mind there's the morality of clearing up a mess you've created - he hasn't done that & is trusting the 'market' of buyers to pick us up & rebuild us. Whether that leads to a brighter future will only become clear in the fullest of time but I will never support his decision to put us into administration - its reckless, shirks accountability & seems entirely in keeping with how he ran the club.
As to the general sentiment of your post & not withstanding my criticism of him above, I do agree with others that we do need to maintain a mature relationship with Mel given his control of PP & loans to him.
We should reconsider our opinions in January when we will be quite a lot better off or a lot worse off. Once again we cannot predict which is more likely. COYR

Can we do the 95 without a takeover.

Another take on this is how it compares to the average fan's wages.
1970 Weekly wages £28:00 ST £6:20 i.e 1.5 days
2021 Weekly wages £585 ST £401 (say) i.e 4.8 days
So our footy thrill is three times more expensive these days for Mr Average Fan
And before a stats expert pillories me for using simple averages rather than means or medians I am just making a general point!
I think that your conclusions are very average. I get your point. Probably fairly accurate.

After eleven games we would have been six points clear of the bottom three so grabbing back twelve points on present form looks more likely than not. If we do not lose our players at Xmas or get docked another nine points we can stay up. We only have to finish above three teams, all of which we are better than after eleven games and with 35 more to go. We have a good team and a few cheap signings at Xmas will make us better. We should not be afraid to play any team in this league. We will always stand a great chance if we keep getting clean sheets.
