So, no free agents once the window closes unless the embargo is lifted at some point.
Totally bonkers situation getting worse quicker than we thought possible. So we cannot re-sign players after their contract expires at Xmas. Yes or no.

I think those folk simply assuming we can add a new player if we lose Marshall, don't understand how this works. We needed special dispensation from the EFL to add Jagielka and Baldock to the squad (and only for six months) which took many days of negotiations. If Marshall left, the EFL might tell us they'd think about it and then maybe (if we're lucky) come back to us in a couple of weeks. If he goes, it's just a saving on the wage bill. We're not signing anyone today.
It is increasingly annoying to see good players going elsewhere. Automatic promotion this season is now in question. Haha

We cannot play, we're still on the Naughty Step.
(Is Marshall going though?)
If Marshall goes then we can sign one, I think

So how many players can we get in on loan now.

No their crimes are far far worse than ours, to illustrate this I will repost something I posted a few days ago;
"How many points deduction will Reading get based on these results?
Reading made operating losses of £43.5million, compared to £40.7million the previous year, while accumulated losses totalled £138million.
Wages were 211 per cent of revenue - slight progress somewhat compared with 226 per cent the previous year. Nevertheless, this is is still above the level recommended by UEFA, which is 70 per cent.
My guess is a fixed penalty £100 fine and a kindly reminder to keep their losses under £100million next submittal."
These numbers are taken from their filed accounts and show that have driven a transatlantic liner through the P&S regulations. This only illustrates even more clearly the vendetta against the Rams, the numbers involved in over spend would/should trigger a 21 points deduction, will it happen, I predict not.
p.s. Also they have sold their ground, their training ground and the land around the ground, to themselves.
If true. Somewhat unbelievable.

Joz really good v Forest. Looked like an accomplished player. Maybe he has settled in now.

Hmmm. I think the club should give a free pint to anyone who attends choir practice in the tent at 1.45 on home days. AngieRam would lead the rehearsal obviously Id go.
That is wonderful and so supportive

And in the case of outcome 2, even if this materialises, if they cannot deduct points for an FFP breach, they will make sure it takes them until after the transfer window has shut to confirm this. They will probably do their best to delay it to the closure of the second transfer window to disadvantage us as much as possible in lieu of not being able to deduct points.
I believe the EFL executive decides this and my understanding is that now comprises of Rick Parry, Trevor Birch, some independent non-exec directors, Nicholas Randall (Forest), Peter Ridsdale (Preston), Neil Bousor (Middlesbrough), along with some Lower league representation including Jez Moxey (Burton).
It is absolutely clear what the championship appointed club representatives will be advocating and why I will be amazed if we sign anyone else before the deadline.
I will also be amazed.

Before anyone notices, I stand corrected, the revenue loss is £2 million, not £10m. (Whoops!!!!)
You have just saved us £8 million. Thank you. What a guy. Lol.

I personally know of 5 people who have not re-newed their season tickets, all with seats in the Toyota West Stand, with an average of £400 per ticket = £2,000 per season. Not a great deal in the scheme of things, but multiply that by, say, 5,000 fans, and that's a revenue loss of £10 million.
Three of those, people I've got to know fairly well over the last 12 years, will not be returning to watch the games at Pride Park, due to numerous issues
- too far to travel (from Sth.Yorks);
- getting old (two of them over 65 years old);
- "fed-up of watching poor football, week after week" (no change there though !!!);
- money getting a little tight to pay for a season ticket when you can watch them on television at least a dozen times a season;
- too many changes of kick-off times & days (Friday night / Saturday lunchtime or evening / Sunday afternoon & Monday night)
- Covid, not prepared to push through crowds, with or without masks
The list can go on and we find many reasons why fans are not turning up to watch live games, and we have to understand, that perhaps things have changed since the great lock-down, and we have to accept a "new normal".
Is it just us or are most teams being affected

It’s reported to be around 15% sell on clause, but I'm not sure how that works with a single amount rising to a different amount. Would we get 15% of the 6 million and then it topped up, or just 1.5 million straight away, as that’s the potential highest fee?
Is it only fifteen percent of the profit made

Of course there's a pretty bad extrapolation possible here. Maybe the points deduction is for failing to comply with the instructions to present restated accounts. There could be another points deduction on the horizon when we do present the accounts and possibly fail P&S.
So we may get more points than we got in the Prem. So that is good, right. lol.
-
Will Hughes may be off to Crystal Palace for £6 million rising to £10 million. Do we get a few quid out of this. His value has not rocketed.

Or he's making it up.
Points deduction may happen... no detailed information. Our restated P&S are in, may as well take a guess.
What are we all going to do when this embargo ends. I will be nearly qualified as some sort of very low level accountant after reading these posts. Will all this training just go to waste.

When our opponents reorganise at half time we seem to carry on and lose the dominance that we had in the first half.
