I did not believe in a witch hunt against us by the EFL at first.
However, this seems very suspicious that we now have a good chance to avoid relegation, we may have been very close to appointing preferred bidders and we were only just into January. Being so early in January with new owners we could get reinforcements and with Rooney’s contacts (players like Diallo in the Championship) all of a sudden us surviving became very real. Then all of a sudden the EFL slap this demand on us. Plus other clubs are annoyed we are rejecting pitiful bids.
I now think the EFL have a real dislike of Derby and want us to suffer. Whilst I do not think they will see us liquidated I do think they will have us as close to death as possible before they ‘help us’.

He has put us in administration, we are about to be relegated to league one and could face lidquidation due to debts he amassed for the football.
Never mind though waiving the ‘debt’ and selling our own stadium to us means he can be partly forgiven (sarcasm).
He wants rid and quick so I am not surprised he agreed this.

When will people realise that Mel only took over the club when there was a real possibility of premier league promotion.
He bought 22% after our play off final defeat in 2014. Then in 2015 he bought the rest of the shares, becoming sole owner. At this point we looked to be certainties for promotion.
What comes with promotion? A massive amount of revenue. This includes the tv money, more sponsorships and good money depending on where you finish in the league.
He bought us to boost his own bank account either through establishing us a premier league or through selling us at a huge profit when we become attractive.

I have to say now that the EFL really are forcing us into relegation. Whilst I still do not believe it is an entire witch hunt what they are doing is not allowing us to be competitive.
We have had the normal 12 point deduction for administration. Now a further nine point deduction for financial breaches. So a staggering 21 point deduction.
This coupled with them not allowing us to sign players without the embargo restriction has made us almost non competitive.
We have a threadbare squad made up of youth players and seasoned pros.
Do one or the other. Either do not allow us to sign players or deduct the points. Do not do both. This in my opinion makes a joke of the competitiveness of the league.
In my opinion after administration they should be docking us any more points. It clearly shows we are in trouble and that should be the end of it. Their points deductions could put buyers off forcing us into liquidation. I am sure it will not but there is every chance it could.

Why not make the league a joke. Either be completely non competitive or be really nasty. Go out with the intention or winding other teams up.
If we are down before any other permutations that we could effect then down tools and turn things into a joke.

To be honest if I thought we could get Dean Smith I would sack Rooney tomorrow but we won’t without offering huge wages plus a massive war chest.

Rooney is still with us partly because he feels a debt to us for giving him a chance.
However, it will mainly be because if he manages to keeps us in the league with all the horse poo he has had to deal with then his reputation as a manager increases dramatically.
This then opens up bigger and better jobs to him.
Yes, this is cynical and the rest of our fans will not like it but it is my opinion. He has already come out of it looking like a saint.

Please stop calling him Shinniesta. Iniesta was one of the best footballers of his generation. His was technically brilliant. Shinnie is nowhere near him. Shinnie is an enforcer only. His technical and passing ability is average on a good day.

Warwick Ram got a reaction from jimtastic56 in My apologies to Mr Wayne Rooney
I didn’t want Rooney and he is the epitome of why this club has fallen so far. Not because of him but by his appointment. If Mel was focussed on the club then he never appoints Rooney as manager.
For me Rooney’s lack of coaching experience would of immediately ruled him out if getting the job, especially considering the position we were in.
However, he was given the job and I was pleasantly surprised when we improved so much before falling away after the Bielik injury.
I do believe though that with the correct backing in the summer transfer window this season he would of got some decent players here. I really do believe he had a large number of players waiting to come to the club.
At present time Rooney has shown himself to be a decent and honourable person but sticking with us through all the poo show.
I do feel sorry for him. He really has been dealt a really bad hand with an owner who could give a duck about anything.

Just clicked on the Daily Mail and immediately an article about how good Kaide Gordon is likely to be.
Here is a radical thought how about clubs like Liverpool and Man City properly compensate us for Gordon and Delap.
We worked with these players in their formative years and we get pennies for them. If in 10 years time Gordon goes for £100 million then Liverpool essentially have made a £99 million profit as they stole him from us for £1 million.
What is the point in an academy if all the top players get poached for nothing.
