I think the worst thing about this whole debacle is that the club we all support is a sitting duck for any Tom, Dick or Percy to sling mud in our direction.
We’re fair game to the hordes of click bait websites, rent-a-quote ‘experts’ and even some respected media outlets too. Feels like we just have to lie in the gutter and take the daily kickings.
One day it will be resolved. Then another club will be the punch bag and we can get back to being football supporters once again. 

Exactly…we don’t owe them anything…just an amount Gibson has plucked out of the air. Ignore them, get the sale done and see them in court if they think they have a case….

I just think Gibsons goal is to ensure we do not get taken over until it can’t make any difference to this season - make sure we don’t do anything in jan to strengthen.
I can’t see it being anything else. He knows he can’t win, everybody knows there’s no case - the fact no one has put a proper reputable piece out there about it other than tabloid rubbish is cause no one really sees it as anything but posturing.
In BBC articles and sky etc it’s only ever a tibet at the bottom. Im surprised it’s taken this long for someone to finally ask a sports lawyer to offer their opinion - that as we all could of guessed essentially shuts it down. 
Let’s just hope this week is the week whether Appleby or Ashley - that we get a preferred bidder and start solving the mess and put these guys (Gibson and Wycombe) on the back burner.

This is right. There is nothing from official quarters saying anything about why there has not been a preferred bidder. The Boro, Wycombe stuff is guesswork. 
It could just as easily have been that the admins got wind of Ashley’s interest around the time they were going to announce Appelby’s bid and wanted to listen to him.
Boro and Wycombe are not creditors and any legal action will take months to even come to court. These clubs have no grounds to stop a takeover as well as having no case.
I think a lot of fans are getting hot under the collar as normally happens on a Sunday when these journo’s are tasked to write their column and need to find an angle no matter how much total boIlocks it is.

It is and such a shame. In the good old days if you happened to play the same team on the Wednesday in the league and then on the Saturday in the Cup, there would be a bigger attendance and excitement at the cup game. Since the Premier League and Champions League it has become pretty much an irrelevance with reserve sides and poor attendances ?

We have two centre halves whose combined age is almost 80. They have been playing 2 or 3 games a week. I disagree with you, they could both have done with a well-earned rest ?

Priorities is the league, plus we and any other team outside the Premiership have a very slim chance of winning it. I also think, if we are due a defeat, lets have it in the cup and bounce back in the league.
