Jimbo Ram got a reaction from Andicis in Wayne Rooney
Well we’ve got quite a few defeats to choose from in terms of where it all went wrong...

You were quick enough to want Cocu out who got us on the fringes of the play offs and a tenth place finish. But want to keep Wazza who has a worse record, has won one game in 14 and lost 6 games on the bounce and has us on the brink of relegation. Is it just me or is that a tad odd, hypocritical some might say. What does go on in that head of yours Roy Mac ?

Erik Alonso would be how he stays either way. Plausible he knows all about Rooney and a little about Derby reading sports history books, watching a Charlie George hat trick from an old YouTube clip and having had a few conversations with Mel.
So he takes control in either circumstances and thinks brand Rooney will give him profile, get loads of photo opportunities and offering him a summer cheque book to build “his” team; ignoring Ronney’s tactics had a bearing on results towards our nose dive (me ignoring Bielik injury contributed to this).
My worry from what I’ve seen since the Cardiff game, is even with a summer rebuild, I can’t see Wayne doing massively better next season in the Championship or putting us in contention with what’s left for a Div 1 promotion tilt. Should he stay, I think he’ll be gone around Christmas as the penny drops and we’ll be wasted a season and more money, which will ultimately put unfair pressure on any other managers that follow, trying to mop up the mess.

Marshall started well with us but is just as liable to make mistakes as Roos, not much to choose between the two. Maybe go for Marshall who has a bit more big match experience...

Jimbo Ram got a reaction from derby8 in Derby County on this day
Down in Cornwall visiting my parents...after Christie had scored I got so nervous I had to go for a walk, so chuffed to come back for the result and hear we had held on. I think Manure had the trophy presentation after the game...

You don’t get many Managers getting a job in the top 2 divisions with no previous coaching or managerial experience, Lampard and Wazza are the exceptions rather than the rule. Most managers get their coaching badges and get a managerial job lower down the pyramid, non league or league 1/2....or others like Gerrard right at the bottom in the SPL...that’s where they learn and make the mistakes that Wazza is making...

problem is, Wayne doesn't realise the mistakes he's making

That's a bit harsh considering Cocu and Derby managed 64 points and 10th place last season.
Cocu's miserable run at the start of the season was still marginally better than Rooney's end of season form. I can't see any justification for believing Rooney will ever be a good manager, anywhere. There is simply nothing to back that up. I also can't understand why anyone would think we should give him another season at Derby to pursue his flailing managerial apprenticeship.

You do know many of them get qualifications before they take on a management position, get a year or two of full time coaching experience and start far lower down the pyramid at smaller clubs.

Know all that but he still wouldn’t have turned the job down, if he really had a problem with Mel he wouldn’t have got back involved, And I’m sure he would’ve stepped in until the end of the season to save us had Mel sacked Rooney.
Anyway the point is there are many better options than Rooney, one of whom is still within the club, which makes it even more ridiculous we’re continuing with Rooney who is clearly way out of his depth.

A good Manager gets the best out of what he has got. If a teacher in a school has a difficult class they can't just say give me some different pupils. Wazza was dealt a very difficult hand which he has not played very well. I am not convinced he will be a great Manager, more akin to Bryan Robson.....

You literally just make up rubbish to support an argument with zero value.
As for 'fan entitlement', that's really scraping the barrel, even by your lowly standards. I think most fans would sensibly argue that wanting to see their team win more than once in 16 games is anything but 'entitled'!

It seems to be:
Tell everyone the lads are up for it and they know what is required
OPTIONAL: Score first
Concede
Heads drop
Confidence evaporates
Concede more
Derby lose
Repeat
It's the Derby Way, I think.
