Yes, I said this a few weeks back, we could possibly do with Posh winning their next 5 (if neccesary) to stay within a point of Bolton, in case we need them to get something off Bolton on the final day.
For example we could end up going into the final day with Bolton on 90, Derby 89, Posh 89.

Think 10 does it Aslong as we beat Wycombe on Wednesday and don’t give Bolton any extra initiative going into their game vs Pompey 

I don’t see us losing to Wycombe and if we do then it will be a disaster.
They don’t play until 4:30pm tomorrow. They should be putting everything in to that game against a very athletic Peterborough side.
We play them 72 hours later where they’ll just about be sobering up or they’ll be downbeat. Either way they won’t fancy a game Wednesday night and will probably be planning their summer holiday.
Wycombe is a must win in my eyes. We can’t give Bolton the incentive that if they beat Portsmouth they could go above us.

Chris Martin to do us a favour today? That'd be absolutely lovely.

So long as he sticks with a back four, and plays Smith and Ward rather than Bradley and Hourihane, we  will be fine.
At Northampton we started with both Bradley and Hourihane, Ward and Blackett Taylor were only subs. 
We also have Collins back instead of Washington/Waggy.

Or play through midfield, which is what we refused to do at Northampton, and it cost us.

Need to follow our work on from Portsmouth. Don't get drawn into Wycombe's games, stay above the fray and knock them out with a clean punch. Attack with pace and movement and they simply won't be able to cope.

I expect Bolton will be a point behind by the time we play this game. Anything else will be a pleasant surprise. Hence, I feel this is a must win game, not a “must not lose” game. Anything but three points and it’s out of our hands and a massive boost to Bolton. We need to to go into every game like it’s the playoff final from now. I’m sure that’s obvious to Warne and the lads. 

Warne has said on numerous occasions that we can’t waste a half of football. I think this will be key against Wycombe. Tempo. They will slow everything down, throws, free kicks, injuries etc. we are awful when we fall into that trap (Northampton). So we need to play the game at speed. That starts with Wildsmith imo. 

I moved to Canada in June 2023. It's been a great move for me, but apart from family my connection home has been through Derby County. I wish I saw more games during this season, but I've done a lot of hungover early starts to watch us grind out the wins that got us into this position.
And here we are. Portsmouth away seemed very significant. It's poetic in my own personal way that Derby will get promoted in the first season I can't go to any games. But from thousands of miles away, I finally feel a bit of confidence.
Long story short - This Wycombe car park ambulance chasing lot made me hate a lot of modern football, and I'd love to turn these over and tell the football world we are back.
As a Brit now in Canada following on and loving every second of this season...

All true, but it's even more of a must win for Bolton first, not just to prevent themselves falling further behind us, but they still have Pompey and Peteboro to play in their final 5 games.
In Bolton's last 5 games, they've won 2, drew 2 and lost 1. They may go on a win all 5, making it 6 wins on the row to finish with, but they aren't exactly in the type of form that suggests they will do that, especially with 2 top teams left to play (Peteboro might be resting by final game though).
Based on both our recent and longer term results, winning our 4 seems much more doable, based on who we are playing. Wycombe away is toughest game, but their Cup final tips it more in our favour. Cambridge will probably be safe on final day too.
4 teams 10th and below, probably with nothing to play for, is an attractive set of fixtures.

Told you! I also said one of main strengths was character.....not giving up. Few would have
predicted Moxon would smash ball in from 25 yards...not sure who was most surprised..him,
his team mates or the crowd. A long range shot into Fratton End goal is always cause for mad
partying..as long as it's Pompey who score.
Impressed with Derby generally and your support was great. 2-2 was fair although you guys were
probably annoyed at dropping 2 points.....was fine with us...another game ticked off list.
