    Heartily agree with OP.
Googled 'furious' + 'anal' for a suitable gif to express my ire, but sadly the results were not quite what I'd expected.

OMFG, it got worse last night.
Jake started talking about 'this was the album that many people think heralded the end of punk', and he still had the first album in his hand.
Maybe he meant London Calling, I dunno, but their first album did not signal the end of punk. Not that any one album did, anyway.
Then he started banging on about the Clash playing a gig on 23rd July 1984 which was the first time he saw them live. I looked it up because that happens to be my birthday, and as we now know, I'm anal af.
They never played a gig on that date.
They did in 1985, but it was in Athens.
Then more mumblings about The Clash selling out to a major label when The Clash was on a ducking major label all the effing time. They signed to CBS from the get-go

I'd had enough by then, so I took a sledgehammer to the TV, set fire to the remains and then stormed off to bed to sulk leaving Mrs Badger somewhat perplexed.

I think it's because people don't want to have to constantly use six syllables when Alexander-Arnold is on the ball. Super hard mode for commentators would be a team of English zoomers all with double barrelled surnames against Georgia.

It's pretty embarrassing for the Aussies that they felt they had to resort to this to take Bairstow's wicket. There's not really any defence for their actions in this instance. Yes, it's within the laws, but it's cheap and underhand. Having said that, no one does righteous indignation quite like the English. See the pathetic reaction last summer when India mankaded Dean. Personally I feel like our reaction is also embarrassing and completely disproportionate. I can't stand all this "spirit of cricket" guff. Not because I disagree with the notion that there's a spirit of cricket, but because people only ever invoke it when they're looking to excuse mistakes and when it would benefit their team. How many English people care about the spirit of cricket when Broad refuses to walk after a clear edge?

ZERO design just a s***, plain, Adidas template kit with nothing whatsoever going for it.
    Stupid logo placement.
    A suitably s*** shirt for a substantially s*** team

Lack of penetration is a problem when we’ve got all our bowlers available, so with Chappell, Lakmal, Conners, and Watt not playing and Aitchison getting injured, along with it being slow flat pitch, plus the kookaburra ball…it was always going to be a game of patience.

Really needed that wicket though, no wicket in the session would have been very disheartening. This is where you need your spinner to bowl a team out, Thomson has bowled well but a bit too full and flat.
The good news is one more wicket and we are into the lower order, just have to hope the light stays playable.

The problem with this line of thought is we can’t get 2016 Derby County to buy 2023 Derby County’s players

3 Wickets and a beamer no ball just to keep everyone on their toes in the final over from Ben Aitchison and Derbyshire win.
Don't care if it's second 11, parade the trophy to the four corners of the county, we don't win much 😀

I followed the Burley preseason quite closely as I was pretty enthused about what I'd seen since he took the job, and I was really impressed with Weckstrom and thought he'd definitely break into the team. Spoiler - he didn't.

Kris Weckstrom? I don't think he was here for that long, but I'm short on Finns and it's not Simo.
