  1. I wouldnt be sad to see Rooney go, yes he kept us up but he also very nearly took us down, but then we dont get to see what goes on behind the scenes, how the players react to him and the constant rubbish he has had to deal with.

I am intrigued though to see who he could bring in player and staff wise, if the takeover ever materialised and he had funds to work with.  I would imagine there are a few decent players waiting on a phone call to say its all systems go.

Can someone find the quote/interview where Pearce said even if we readjusted the accounts for amortisation we would still meet FFP requirements?

Probably in the same interview on radio Derby when he said he had no concerns about the BZI takeover..."its all a question of timing" the man said.

This for me is the question - if we do fail the FRS rules based on the resubmission, could we argue that spending decisions taken during that time period were based on a methodology that hadn't been questioned and we had assumed to be correct, and that we weren't acting in a subversive manner in when doing so?

I'm not sure if there is any precedent in other walks of life on this but I guess its like being given a speeding fine when your speedo is 10mph out

Actually it's like the police telling you it's ok that your speedo is 10mph out and then the police fining you for it a year later.

So, all we have to do is wait for Mr. Pearce to confirm to us fans at 9am, that we will be inside the allowed losses for that period. Surely, as a club, we already know the calculations. Hopefully the morning won't bring complete silence.

I would also state, if we do fall outside the permitted losses, we can argue we would have sold players to alleviate the losses. We are no longer in a position to change what happened years a go. Can't see this going anywhere to be honest.

    Appeal after appeal coming up.

This has been my argument all along, we wouldnt have done some of our business if the EFL hadnt signed off the Amortisation policy.

We wouldnt have signed Bielik, Jozwiak and I imagine Rooney wouldnt have been here.

It's like being granted planning permission for an extension and then being hit with a punishment because the planners realise your house is now bigger than theirs and everyone elses.

We need to wake up and quick, the EFL are literally doing anything and everything to destroy our football club. This is a battle of egos between Parry and Morris and our club and the fans are collateral damage.

nothing will happen and we will be left scraping the bottom of the barrel again on transfer deadline day.

Let's be honest, anything other than that as a Derby fan will be weird.

Who sent the text ? Just asking for a friend…

Just a mate who shares things every now and again. He text me once to say Philip Cocu was at Morley Hayes days before he was announced.

He was right then, but I would have believed this latest one more if I hadn't seen it on Twitter minutes later.

    ITK ??????

No not at all, sorry, the GIF just made me laugh.

I was sent a text yesterday morning that said Leonsis and Arison with Horton are the people buying the club and it will be announced this week, but I refuse to believe it until I see it.

If Leonsis is involved, it won't be for love of the game

I've been wondering if Horton really is the main man and he is just lending some cash from the likes of Leonsis and Arison.

When GSE took over we had some big rich people involved, Tom Ricketts for one, but we never saw or heard much if anything from them.

Since other thread gone does anyone here have any info regards the American, Miami heat+leonsis twitter rumours.

Very quiet at the moment in the press and from the club official lines so I'm clinging to the hope they are desperate to keep a deal quiet.

The topklobber guy on twitter doesn't have a history of wind ups or rumour posts seems a decent bloke (dont know him personally) so he has a few people, like me, clinging on to his tweet.

There has to be some truth in it.  Ted Leonsis has been mentioned lots, he likes owning stadiums that can double as performance venues so maybe he sees Pride Park as a latest edition to his portfolio, who knows.

Mike Horton is a fair shout too. I've read more than one person suggesting a local businessman had joined forces with an American consortium, so this ties in with that.

The one I find strange is this Mickey Arison bloke, multi-billionaire, could easily buy out Man United, Liverpool etc and here he is linked with us. Although, his name is so far fetched, who knows.

So we are waiting for the result of the DC panel (or whatever it’s called) and simultaneously waiting for a potential takeover announcement.

Both seem imminent, but in honesty, both seem to have been kicked down the road so many times you just wonder when and if we will ever see the end of them.

Meanwhile DCFC seem in complete limbo …. armed with a selection of academy graduates and a handful of championship or near championship level players, a team which many think are barely capable of staying in the league and a squad that just is simply way to thin.

Our manager has barely kept us up and was very clear a month ago that he needed action immediately to prepare for next season … after which nothing has happened. How much patience does he have?

Our best youth players are not signing contracts and even mediocre players in our squad are being snapped up by rivals.

So as fans, do we continue to sit and wait and play the patience game … or do we panic?

Fixtures are released Thursday, that truly is a day to start panicking when you see our threadbare squad without a kit to wear away at West Brom first game of the season.

Yes, it is. Deadline 30th June.

Is it fair to say this is a positive?

If money was so tight I'd imagine they would wait for a takeover to be done before filling positions and certainly cant imagine they would create new positions. You would think Mel would take any saving he could get.
