It was Steve Mac that spoke to Exeter about an approach for Watkins during the January transfer window, then not long after that in the March Rowett came in. Watkins stated he wanted to stay at Exeter until the end of that season because they were involved with a possible promotion which they lost in the play off final to Blackpool. It's possible that he would have signed for Derby, but come the end of the season we had Rowett in charge, who I believe stated Exeter were asking too much. He was bought for £1.8m and sold 3 years later for £28m.

They could give us a little more information, like yes there is still 3 bids in the running. A statement telling us the stumbling block is the cost of what Mel wants for Pride park etc. The None Disclosure is about details of who is bidding and their various details. They don't confirm the exact amount of bidders and they seemed to have dropped the "shortly" and "immanently" quotes. Any other club on the brink and thinking of going into administration, won't be giving these clowns a call.

My take on this never ending saga= 1. Mel put us in administration. 2. Mel picks the administration company. 3. Mel did'nt like Kirchner's bid. 4. Mel thought the Binnie brothers bid was crap. 5. A few weeks ago, the administrators were going to announce Ashley is the preferred bid but Mel's not happy with the amount of money on the table.
Tell me I'm wrong somebody (Mel's still pulling the strings)

The standard of refereeing is bad, been bad for 3 or 4 years now. But when it comes against Derby, I feel they have an issue of trying to upstage Wayne who is a big name in football and these incompetent officials seem to want the man to fail.

I'm looking at current form of the bottom 4 and their overall form throughout the season so far. Peterborough have won 5 league games all season and their last win was December last year and they have 6 teams to play who are still chasing promotion so I think they will finish bottom. Barnsley have also only won 5 league games, but of late had a mini revival having won 2 games in their last 5 matches. On paper they have the slightly easier fixtures over the other relegation rivals (but football is not played on paper). They only have 4 games against teams still in with a chance of promotion, with 6 pointer's to play against Peterborough and Reading.  With the lowest amount of goals scored in the championship, they lack the fire power to win more than 2 games in their remaining 10. So I feel they will finish 23rd. Reading who won back to back games last month after previously not won a league game since November have now lost 3 on the bounce and have Bournemouth (a), Blackburn (h) followed by a 6 pointer against Barnsley (a) in their next 3 matches. Even though they have scored more goals than Derby, they have conceded 72 (average of 2 per game). Looking at their remaining fixtures, they have the hardest run in with 5 teams still chasing promotion at this stage. I can only see them winning 2 of their remaing games and they don't draw many matches (5, the least draws in the championship). So at best they might only get another 9pts upto the end of the season.
So I think 38-39 points will secure safety for the Rams. Can we get 14/15 points to stay up. 4 wins, 3 draws and 2 defeats would do it. Or 5 wins and 4 defeats. The key to getting the wins is obviously in our home form, so Coventry, Preston, Fulham, Bristol and Cardiff are going to be all must win games. If we lose one or two, we have to find points on the road at either Blackburn, Swansea, QPR or Blackpool. What's in our favour, Coventry, Preston, Bristol, Cardiff, Swansea and Blackpool are not in with a chance of being involved in promotion or relegation. Blackburn could be a shock result for us, based on their recent results, so Tuesday night could be a big turning point for us.

The case could be, that the remaining bidders have advised the administrators not to act until they know the outcome of which league Derby will be in next season. Which means, they could have both submitted 2 bids, one for a championship club and one for a League 1 club. Which means the winning bidder will not be announced this week, next week, shortly or even imminently.

For the Administrators to have rejected the £30m bid from the Binnie brothers suggests there is better deals with the remaining bidders. If there is'nt, they are taken a big gamble with one bidder gone and possibly only 2 left. Hope these idiots are not being advised by Mel, who gambled with the club too many times.

I think if Wayne wants to sign him on, it will happen. Ravel seems happy at Derby and thats got to be a deciding factor for him on the decision he will have to make at the end of the season.

Morrison is a talented player and it’s obvious that we need to bide our time with him. Yes, he is 29 but in career terms, he is more like a 22-23 year old that is still finding his feet and still figuring himself out.
He was always going to need time to settle and time to feel wanted, feel valued, and most importantly, he needed to be given a platform to produce his best.
Next season could be the best season in his career.
No time to be writing him off.

There's players down the decades that have found missfortune with our fans, Morrison is no different, You had a rant yesterday at one poster because he called him out, You are now fawning over him.
Morrison has undoubted talent, The highlighted part above is why he's yet to convince all, Yesterday showed what a Morrison can do when he plays further forward, Also hitting the bar, He struggled to get back in the team after his red card,Then yesterday he was used in a more attacking role,  When previously he was played further back, Whether that is down to the coaching staff or Morrison himself he's surely wasted that far back.
The comment on his confidence is all important, The more confident a player is the better performances we get, Lawrence is another example, Until a month or 2 into the season he was just another Ram in a shirt, Then we started to get results, Results bring confidence, Lawrence showed this with a bucket full of confidence.
Only Morrison can decide his future performances, 2 goals doesn't make a summer tho those 2 goals may make Morrison.

I still believe 42 points could keep us in the Championship. Which means winning half of our remaining games and picking up 3 draws, could be a tall order and that would also mean Reading getting no more than 13 points in their remaining 12 matches. Reading's next 4 games are against teams all in with a chance of getting promotion. Millwall (h), Forest (a), Bournemouth (a) and Blackburn (h).
We have 6 home games left and to get 6 wins we would have to get 3 points away in possibly 2 games. It's a tall order, but possible with a bit of lady luck with other teams results against Reading and our matches. Sorry to write off Peterborough and Barnsley, but  they have both only won 5 games each (Barnsley winning 3 of theirs in the last 4 matches which is great but not form they will continue to do).
If we lose at Cardiff and don't beat Barnsley at home, I would have to state we will get relegated. So the next 2 matches are vital and as it stands the bookies would say the current bottom 3 will go down. But there's always a team that goes on a run with a dozen games to go and there's always a team that does the opposite. Lets hope it's the Rams on the run and Reading or Cardiff that go on a long losing streak.

I would start with Ravel instead of Sibley at Luton, also start with Kazim and Plange up front. Having one up front makes it easy for the opposition and we need to pull teams backline out of shape to create more chances.
Some on here painted a different picture of the game, I thought after we conceded the 2nd goal we had the better of the play but lacked the final ball to unlock Millwall's well drilled packed defence. I had this game down as a winable match, so now we have to find an away win in games I think we could lose including the Luton match this Saturday. Lets hope we can do it, COYR, FIGHT TO THE END
