That’s it for me, Warne and his staff need to find a way to best use the players at their disposal. To ignore Dobbin’s assets entirely as some suggest seems nonsensical, so using Barkhuizen and NML to start then bringing Dobbin on as they and the opponents tire for his raw pace and dribbling is an option.

Have you watched the penalty given against us at Plymouth recently? Compared with that White was assaulted. Interesting that non contacts result in penalties against us while definite trips are rarely given to us. Why the clear differential?

I think Cashin would shine better in a trio of centrebacks, so if he does his little bursts out from the back we would still have 2 central defenders covering. Is it time try Rooney or Chester in the team being that extra central defender to allow Cashin show more confidence.

He does well for a littl’un but he will always struggle against a biggun who knows what he’s doing.
Cashin tries to go through his man to get the ball first and is therefore in danger of being turned.
However, I suspect part of the downturn in his form is due to the players around him.
Smith has done well at FB for a midfielder but he is starting to be found out.
The midfield hasn’t been consistent and lacks an enforcer.
Right now we need a strong captain on the field and we don’t have one.
Confidence is low and we need a clean sheet. Conceding two is starting to be a habit.
We need to get a bit more Div One and just win our battles.
Cashin will get his mojo back.

Derek Hales was signed by the Rams having smashed in 28 goals in 1975/76 season for Charlton in the old 2nd Division (now Championship). He had scored 72 goals in 129 apps for Charlton and at Derby managed 4 goals in 23 apps. We off loaded him to Westham where he faired a little better by scoring 10 in 24 apps. He went back to Charlton in 1978 and scored another 76 goals in 191 apps. Most famous for having a fight with his strike partner Mike Flanagan in a cuptie with Charlton in 1979. Also famous at Derby for missing absolute sitters on numerous occasions.

He's been terrible for a number of games and when being as a sub, he does not influence the game.  To me, I would try him again with McGoldrick around him.  I think it's time to go three at the back (Rooney not Davies).  We can then use sibley/Bark on left and Smith/Mendez on the left.  Bird, knight and Conor in the middle.  That we if we need to change it up, we can have Dobbin and the players above not starting to run at tired players and can switch formation up

It's possible, maybe even 8 wins and a 3-3 draw at Sheff Weds to clinch 2nd spot.

Not being funny, but it's possible that Barnsley might not be in the play-offs, could be Plymouth if the Tykes keep up their form and pinch 2nd spot.

The guitarist from Blur once said that he would have to extend interviews during the 90's when advising magazine interviewers that he didn't actually support Chelsea like the rest being a Derby fan .  In the end he gave up.
Just tell him he's dead right that we've spent 10 million on agents fees, average 25k a week in wages and still have Tom Lawrence cryogenically frozen on a 10 million a year retainer till we grace the championship once more.  We hope to thaw him out at Wembley in May, hopefully against Plymouth.

Only a fool would rather than be in their position than ours.
They may have a game in hand but, winning that in itself, wouldn't be enough to catch us.
Even with a game in hand, we still have more home games left than them (6 v 5). We both have a single home game against another top six team (us v Ipswich, them v Barnsley). We both have a single away game against a top 6 team (us v Wednesday, them v Ipswich).
I certainly won't be checking play off dates just yet but we are in a much stronger position than Wycombe. I would imagine they consider their target to be Bolton.

There's a few on here still being cautious and thinking Wycombe could get our play off place. They are 7 points behind and a massive 10 goals difference in the goal average meaning they would have to pick 8 points over us in their 11 remaining games. Six of them are away and they have already lost 7 on the road. It would take a massive uptake in their form, with us dropping lots of points for them to close the gap. What's not helped them, is Ainsworth leaving at the business end of the season. If they do grab a top 6 place, it will at Bolton's expense and not ours.

I think Warne will shuffle the pack for the Fleetwood game, it looks like the short term plan against teams in the bottom half. This will keep the players rested and refreshed to go again when called back in to start a match against the tougher teams (Peterboro, Ipswich, Portsmouth and the last match against Sheff Weds before going into the play-offs).

I think the top 6 currently will remain in the top 6, obviously it might end up with the positions being different. Looking at the so called chasing teams, Wycombe and Peterboro. I won't include any others because I feel they are too far behind and have shown a lack of consistency so far this season.
Wycombe= probably the strongest threat, but would have to finish well in their 12 remaining games. Having lost 11 matches so far with 7 defeats being on the road, it's nice to know they still have 7 away games to play. Two outstanding away games being at Ipswich and Portsmouth. Their 5 remaining home games look a little bit easier barring the Barnsley fixture. Only conceded 32 goals which is similar to the Rams (33), but have played one game less. And with a current GD of 15 it's lacking against the current top 6, so they would have to get more points rather than get level on points. Having only scored 47, tells me they don't have much in their fire power to improve their goal difference.
Peterborough=also with 12 remaining games, but 6 home, 6 away. Stand out tough fixtures; Lincoln (a), Derby (h), Shrewsbury (a), Ipswich (h) and Barnsley (a). Already lost 14 games so far and 10 of those away, but they leak goals and have conceded 42 so far.
If I'm wrong and Wycombe or Peterboro pinch a top 6 spot, it will be at the expense of Bolton. Bolton's next 4 fixtures are Ipswich (h), Sheff Weds (a), Plymouth (h) and Exeter (a). If they struggle in them games their last 4 games of the season, they have 3 at home where their form is strong. They are also the lowest scorers in the top 6 having also played more games than all of them.
We have 6 away and 5 at home to play, I feel the next 2 matches we need 6 points to give the squad and fans confidence for holding on to a top 6 finish. After the Ipswich home game we have 3 away matches, Forest Green Rovers, Bristol Rovers and Exeter, we need 7 points at least from them games. I'm predicting that we will finish the season in 4th or 5th position, our opponents in the play-offs could be Bolton, Barnsley or Wycombe. I'm hoping it's Barnsley over 2 legs, my reasons are, they won't beat us convincingly at their place twice in the same season and our home form would see us over the line.

We've lost three league games this year - Wycombe away (7th), Barnsley away (5th) and Plymouth away (2nd). It's been more than five months since we've lost once to a team outside the top 7. Eight of our last 11 games are against teams outside the top 7 - only one more away from home and that's against a team likely to win the league and be on the beach by the time we play them.
It's not so much an appraisal of ourselves, but more of an indictment of who we will be coming up against.

Yes Refs are going to be poor in this League, but we never get the rub of the green with the decisions, it never evens it's self out. Agree we are going to finish in the top 6 and most of us fans would have took that back in July when we only had 5 players on the books. But to state we won't get promotion is a bit negative. It would take a momentus run and some luck with the other promotion rivals to finish in the top 2. So I would like us to finish 6th, because who ever finishes 3rd (likely to be Plymouth or Ipswich) will be gutted and ripe to beat over 2 legs. If we make the final, well it's a cup match that requires players with big match expierence and we've got lots of them.

I would suggest 6.30pm by the latest, there is 215 parking spaces and with the game finishing late evening more fans will most likely drive to get near the ground and park up. If the car park is full when you arrive, continue up Outland Road, turn right at the lights into Peverell Park Road. Drive upto to the first mini roundabout turn right into Barn Park Road. Go to the bottom of the road and take the left hand turn into the road that runs alongside the park. You should find a space there, no restrictions and you will be entering the park through the Barn Park entrance which is closer to the away end of the stadium.
