They were a decent, well drilled outfit and you can see why they are up there.
I thought we battled hard and tried to get the ball on the ground.
We obviously were lacking a focal so it was always going to be difficult.
Bradley was absolutely Head and shoulders MOTM. That one bit of skill second half was worth the admission price alone.
Hats off to the management team for making the necessary tweaks as they worked.
The atmosphere second half was the best since relegation. Everyone knew the team were up against it and came together as one.

I remember in the not too distant past, Hughes andn Bryson both getting injured and MM going out and panic buying Butterfield and Johnson on deadline day.
If I recall correctly, with hindsight our fans were saying how ridiculous it was...

It is a worry if Collins is out for any length of time.
But having four forwards (Collins, John Jules, Waghorn, Washington) out at one time as well as multiple other players in the squad just says we have been very unfortunate.
Let’s see if we can pick up a free agent. Let’s see where Washington is with his recovery. Let’s see if we can recall Brown. Let’s see if we can go with a fluid front three of NML, CBT and Barkhuizen.
All we can do is regroup and make the best out of a bad situation.

Watched the game on Rams TV on Tuesday and Collins was still sprinting to close down and tackle. I will be amazed if his injury is to the structure (ACL) of his knee as it would have buckled at some point. Hopefully I won’t regret saying this

    1) so missed target ?
    2) an inch ? ask the Germans in 66
    3) missed
    4) missed
And I am sure, in addition to those we actually scored ( something they didn’t do ) that you could make a list of our misses, near or not.
Troll, doomsayer, door opening actuator and all round comic. Bravo.

What's even more bizarre than you constructing a timeline of our oppositions "chances" is that someone else on the forum has actually applauded your efforts.

Exeter were easy on the eye and that was about it. Possession for possessions sake is pointless.
I'll never forget when we played Shrew away last season, and had about 80% of possession. Cash made the most passes during the match in the history of forever.
We were absolutely toothless upfront that night.
Unfortunatelly we have players who are perfect for a counter and that is why our away form is so good. When it comes to dominating at home we have seldom been able. A very difficult quandary to overcome as home fans would rightly be pissed if we sit back and let the opposition dictate.
Last night was solid beef and very pragmatic. Worked a treat

    To get us started...
GK - Radek Vitek (Accrington, on loan from Man Utd). 3 clean sheets in 4 games since he joined them on loan. Good on the ball as you'd expect from a Man Utd keeper bit also a very good shot stopper. A 6'5" giant.
DM - Ebou Adams. No justification required
DM - Nohan Kennah (Shrewsbury, on loan from Hibs). Young cover for Adams and very similar in style of play - both are two of the best defensive DMs in the league. Came through at Leeds when Bielsa was manager so will be used to a high intensity style of play.
CM - Herbie Kane (Barnsley). A very good all round CM, possibly the best in the league and also a good set peice taker. Will fill the Hourihane shaped hole well. Will be availabe on a free in the summer.
RW - Tyrhys Dolan (Blackburn). Only 22 and out of contract in the summer (Blackburn have a 1 year option). He's been used as a squad option since breaking into their first team,  so may not feature in their longer term plans. Can also cover CF.
LW - P. Płacheta (Swansea, on loan from Norwich). Missed all of last season due to a rare shin injury. It's someone I would take a risk on, knowing we will have Mendez-Laing and Blackett-Taylor who can both play in this position. Still only 25 and avaialbe on a free in the summer.

Yeah the better side if the idea of the game was about pointless passing, which some people seem to think it is.
The better side scored 3 goals and conceded 0 as us old fashioned people still believe is the idea of the game.
Cant see that sort of plan catching on.
More crucial passes and xG is a much better plan.

Taking some of the concerns being raised repeatedly by some quarters I’d ask what the thinking is behind our midfield set up. We don’t seem keen to play through midfield or control games, so what’s the thinking behind that?

Positive #1. 2nd in the League
Positive #2. I have been too busy to come on here since last night and get irritated by the bed wetting posting minority who want us to be Ipswich re-born and anything less is not good enough.

The "answer" to this will lie entirely with the mindset of the poster.
As the previous poster has just admirably illustrated.

We picked up a point and 2 better goal difference on Peterborough.
A team that was promoted in September (Oxford) failed to win.
And 2 teams promoted in January (Peterborough and Bolton) failed to win.
Adams is looking like a decent addition.
    Cashin will be back soon
    Washington will be back soon.
We have yet to unleash CBT.

I'm pint half full but you can't skate around the abysmal performances this season.
We were excellent against Oxford, v good vs Wigan. Everything since has been meh.
I really felt positive going into today but the fact we played 5-3-2 at home against a bottom 6 team is unforgivable.
Nyambe, Sonny and Nelson were a back 3 with no-one to break the lines.
Yes, we are 2nd. I have no idea how. I haven't seen football this bad since little Billy. Yes, it's winning but boy is it boring.
