Much improved performance today & the players showed their fight again.
I know he gets alot of criticism & called lazy but I must say Lawrence absolutely ran his socks off, also got another assist. I know everyone else did too but just thought given the critcism aimed at him id single him out.

First yellow was harsh, surely that is never a 2nd yellow to send him off..Bennett knocked it beyond him and went down but not a lot in that..

Some clubs have survived COVID some .. Derby and Wigan haven’t . Same as most people have survived COVID so far 99.8%. Doesn’t mean that COVID wasn’t cause of death for the other 0.2%

I can understand all the doom & gloom after last nights performance as it was pretty pathetic.
However, my question is how many points off 4th bottom should be our minimum aim by the time we get to Jan?
By Jan we will hopefully be out of admin & be in a position to strengthen.
Imo if we're in the same position as we are now in terms of 7pts off 4th bottom I think with some new attackers + Bielik hopefully close to match fitness in Jan we can still have a chance of staying up.
Also, in comparison to last season we have 1 point more than we did last year & managed to stay up, obviously we have -12 but that could end up being more or less. We beat Millwall away in our 16th game, lets hope we can do the same this weekend in our 17th game.
Last night has happened, we cant change it but we still need to support the team & help them to keep fighting to give ourselves the best chance possible, especially with Bournemouth & Fulham coming after the international break.

I understand that, this season we're in Sheff W position almost so if they nearly stayed up there is no reason we cant put ourselves in a decent position if we can strengthen in Jan.
Hence my question of how close to 4th bottom do we need to be by Jan. To overturn 7pts in the 2nd half of the season imo is achievable with a stronger squad to pick from. If we can get a fully fit Bielik for the last half of the season we will do much better imo.

If so, shall we move onto the next game?
We are all disappointed in the last couple of games, but having read about sacking Rooney, players not caring, players giving up, our recruitment is awful, we are definitely down  even down without a points reduction in the last 24 hours, it's time to regroup and be realistic.
Rooney wasn't the best manager in the Championship 4 games ago and he isn't the worst now. What we do have is a thin squad mainly made up of veterans and youngsters. We started yesterday's game with half of our outfield players aged 34 to 39. With the new manager bounce they played a high tempo and we got overrun. We look tired and are ready for the international break.
Are we going down? We are certainly up against it. There are so many variables, admin points appeals, ffp appeals and takeovers and that's before we get to what happens on the pitch. I think the players are giving their all and until the Blackburn game, so were the fans. These are trying times and we need to stick together and stay optimistic. We need to still be in the fight when the New Year comes. By then we should know more about points deductions, new owners and transfer capabilities.
If we get deducted 21 points, there is little hope, but we can't give up yet. Every point is vital and every fans support is too. I hope that our fans recent negativity doesn't transmit to the games. so let's all dust ourselves down and keep supporting our great club as best we can.
I don't know if we can manage this great escape but if we do, it will take the collective will of all of us.

You highlight jozwiak signing .. yet we made a large transfer profit in that same summer. And we actually haven’t paid that much for him .. yet.

and our losses were not £3m per month at any time , and certainly not just before COVID struck.
total losses at the height of spending were £43 million over three years …  ie £14 million pa and that was for the three years ending 2018.

that was along time ago. Since then spending has come down a lot from 2017/18 peak.

you’re dodgy at accounts I would suggest .. are you Maguire in disguise?

    Updated After Week 14 Matches
Updated the stats tracker - starting to get some more solid data now we are 14 games in, ive got us a projected total of 56 (Net 44) after 14 games played. That would give us a 54% chance of survival based on every season since we were last relegated.
Im tracking us against last season for the stat of tracking the 4th bottom team (as thats where we need to get to as a minimum). Last season was our closest to relegation in a good while so makes sense to use that as our season baseline for this year. Its no point us tracking at net 44 if the 4th bottom starts tracking way above last season (funnily enough that was 44 points as well). Good news is the 14 game tracker currently sits as a positive one in our favour so as long as that stays at or near zero or positive we are well on track even with all these draws.

I can understand why the EFL would want the admins to pay the fee if they were to appeal but a couple of things...
They want to add more points if an appeal is rejected? Isnt the minus 12 points deducted for admin already enough?
Secondly, where is the part in which they take accountability for their own actions? Wigan for example, went into admin due to their owner losing interest after a few months, how did they even pass the EFLs owners tests? Surely some blame lies at their door?
All these current owners wanting to vote for these new rules, cant wait for it to bite them on their arse, these are the same people who didnt fight for more TV money & voted in the ridiculous FFP/P&S rules.

I think you’ve nailed it Jono. The odd occasion I’ve seen him play for Poland he looks a different animal, however they play a completely different style.
He reminds me a bit of Kevin Harper (remember him), a winger who really didn’t suit the way we played at the time and suffered because of it.
Someone else last week mentioned that his role is really constrained to the channel, he usually has the LB overlapping him so he hangs back to cover, we also don’t break forward with pace that often and when we do it’s usually Morrison with the ball ignoring all options and then turning back or losing it, must be frustrating.
I just don’t think we play in a way that works for him and his confidence has taken a whack. Look at how he improved when Beilik came in, breaking the lines and passing to him in space!
Saying all that he clearly needs to do more, but I’m not sure we’re going to get it. Probably best for all parties to try and move him on in Jan if poss

He didn’t offer a great deal yesterday and with the way the game was going it was probably right to sub him but he never received the ball to his feet. A few long passes vaguely in his direction, chasing a shadow ball. Never got a chance … except once. Right ball right place, great effort, burned down to the byline with serious determination and played a perfect cross, shin height at pace to the 6 yard line. .. give him the ball and he’ll do that more often. .. We were so so slow in the first half yesterday .. players constantly coming back for the ball instead of moving forward to receive it and the man with the ball waiting for players to come back and get it. We didn’t pass through lines .. we retreated and let the other side establish a line in front of us. … There was a guy behind me saying ..” retain the ball .. you didn’t need to that fancy flick” … NO ! … those one touch plays are the ones that break lines, the catalysts. Joz needs that sort of movement.

Well, I am a sad individual who only goes to football, so will probably only observe two minute silences; the second of which will be at Barnsley on Wednesday night.
So, I welcome the opportunity to remember those who went before; it heartens me that even the most drunk or coked up fans are usually impeccable in their observation of the silence; I like the fact that the shirt auction puts some serious money into RBL to help people who are suffering the effects of conflict now.
If there was an event at Pride Park on the day, very few would go.

My understanding was it was 3-4 weeks to decide on the route out of admin. I.e. pick the winner.
hopefully wrap up the takeover by the first week in January.
and then hopefully the EFL will get their fingers out and settle whatever disputes and all point deductions will be done and by the end of the season for this season. So we go into the 22/23 season with a clean slate.

I think his reference to 3 weeks was to have a firmed up exit plan.  Indicated aim by end of the year but could see it being 1st week in January - either of which would be fantastic as it gives us scope in the transfer window
