I hear what you’re saying, and that is a good long term vision. But right now we need players, regardless of age and stage. The profile should be professionals who will work hard for the team and have some quality. Hourihane not only ticks those boxes, but far exceeds what we can expect at this level. He was running the midfield for 2 of the last 4 seasons in the Championship. Can’t believe some don’t like the idea of it

Even without Lawrence, that squad looks a lot more promising than I’d hoped for a few days ago. Enough about it to be solid and compete at least. Are the goals there? I’d hope so with Hourihane’s creativity and the directness of the 2 new wide attackers. Collins or similar needed to be the man in the box to put it in!

The last episode got the balance right between action, story and emotion. Quite an achievement when everyone knew what was going to happen in the end, unless they wanted to break the world!

Interesting. Felt similar on first watch through. Enjoyed seasons 2 and 3 more second time round as you can see the underlying narrative. Plus, more things make sense.
Finished all 7 episodes of season 4. Hard to judge without spoilers, will say it gets better in the later episodes, which is common with the other seasons. It’s a lot more horror based. Bit much some of the stuff. I much prefer the thriller and tension side over the gory stuff. Looking forward to the last 2 episodes!

Very excited for Stranger Things season 4, with the first 7 episodes coming this Friday. The runtimes look ridiculous. It is rumoured that 2-3 of the episodes will be as long as feature films, with the last episode being 2 and a half hours long.
I’m not complaining, but it asks the question - should there be a maximum length to TV shows? The whole point, in my opinion, is that they are shorter that a movie, but with more of them to unpack a story in short chunks. I won’t know until I’ve watched the whole series in early July, but looking at the timings, could they just have made the series from 9 to 12 episodes? It’s not an issue when the series is good, but could be an issue if shows that are not as good interesting start doing it.

As a bit of a Marvel fan I started watching this without knowing anything about it - turns out you don't have to know anything about any of the marvel movies and its quite light on 'super hero' stuff for most of the 6 episode series.  An intriguingly weird show that had me captivated by the end.
Excellent acting from Oscar Isaac, episode 5 in particular.

Ask me this when the takeover has gone through and the club is able to sign players to contracts. That will dictate how able we are to compete and win games next season!
Assuming we manage to scrape a team together, and one that Wayne is happy with, I’m looking forward to a different sort of season!

For those who are into gaming - play the new Lego Star Wars game, a Skywalker Saga.
I play most Lego games with my son, as they’re great games with fun concepts. My goodness, this game is very good though. I’ve played more on my own after he’s gone to bed than with him! Great fun, one of the best Star Wars games made in my opinion.

The worst part of home matches being moved for TV is that I’m fairly sure we’re not benefiting from the money at the moment…? What’s the point! If the EFL are still withholding the money, which still doesn’t make much sense as it could be used to pay off creditors/pay staff etc, I almost want us to turn around and say no to Sky. Sure it’s against the rules…

In preparation for Stranger Things season 4 coming out soon (in 2 parts, the first in May) decided to watch through seasons 1-3 again. I forgot just how good the show is. Season 1 is excellent, just the right amount of episodes. Season 2 is shaping up to be the weakest of the 3 but still with some good ideas. Remember enjoying season 3 so looking forward to reaching that.
If you’ve not watched it, I’d highly recommend it.
