You have a beautiful voice - were you once arrested for eating a succulent Chinese meal, by any chance?

Tell me about it!
My Champ Man knowledge tells me Shaun broke through at Man City just recently....in about 2002.

We are one of the best supported clubs and we do have quality facilities. Sadly, the Championship has become about 2 things if you want to spend on players - parachute payments or an owner with deep pockets.
David Clowes doesn’t have millions to throw around and he’s right to not do so. We’ve got a budget and we will work to it. That means we will miss out on targets who will go to other clubs for more money, despite being “smaller” than us.
Every year the Champ top 6 is full of the same teams, the yoyo clubs with lots of money. But every year there’s a team up there who don’t have the financial outlay but instead have a team with fight and hard working players (Ipswich, Luton, even Forest) our aim seems to be to build a team that can stick together in every match and work our way up slowly.

Forest had a measly £59m wage bill when promoted. The 3rd highest in the league that season and £17m ahead of 4th highest

It’s important to note Warnes comments when looking at transfers. He’s talked about needing athleticism for next season. Think we’ve got some wise heads already, it’s pace and energy that we need.

Don’t you know, pump it up, the Rams are going up!
Felt remarkably calm at full time. Few fist bumps in the air, but mainly felt relief it had actually happened. The one moment I did well up, as a few others have shared similarly, was when David Clowes walked out with the trophy. His face said it all, and that got to me more than anything else.
Thats our beautiful tinpot 2nd place trophy, and we’re keeping it!

I really want to savour this feeling, enjoy the build up to a massive moment…but I also just want the match to be over already!

Sorry to hear this, although glad recovery is happening and you’ve already had a response.
My dad has had similar health issues recently. Mobility is a big factor, although he still manages the 2 hour train journey most home games. We’ve moved season tickets to front row of North stand for next season for this reason. Not a great view, but is ample access for him and quietest part of the stadium for footfall. Football is better when shared with others, so glad that you’ll (hopefully) get to share it with your dad

Getting a trophy for finishing second in the league and then celebrating it is very much the definition of ‘tinpot’. And you’d better believe most of us will be celebrating it with pride. After all we’ve been through as a club, we’re should enjoy any and every small (or large) victory we can in our own way.

Good point. Having more than one route to goal. I don’t mind getting it wide and crossing it in if it works. But at the same time, if their defenders are winning everything in the air, trying through balls for a pacey wide men could pay dividends. The odd bobble could massively help put off the retreating defenders.

Definitely a good option to come on after 60 minutes if things need changing.
