Old Spalding Ram

We were lucky to have him for the last 2 years of his wonderful career. I remember when he signed for us, he said that he didn't need the money as he was already rich through his business, he just wanted to play football in that great side in the 70's. 
Never mind looking 'at the smile on his face', he put a great big smile on my face and that of 1000's of other Rams fans, RIP Franny.

Next run of fixtures……….six league games in October.
Blackpool, Cheltenham, Shrewsbury, Stevenage away
Exeter & Northampton at home.
 If we’ve got any ambitions of getting out of this turgid division this season we’ve surely got to be top six by Halloween!

Met Ed a few times staying at hotels at away games, He’s a Derby fan like the rest of us and is happy to chat about football ( and trains 😂) He doesn’t deserve this s***.

Criticism of his work is fine, but the personal abuse he is subject to from some, both on X and here, goes beyond that.
I knew why Ed was off work because his colleagues said so, but I didn't post it on here because I knew what would follow.
Anyone should be able to do any job, without fear of personal abuse. 

Agree with this entirely. 
 
I appreciate and admire his love and devotion to our club. He did a very good job during the administration phase. He may not be everyone’s cup of tea but everything he’s done whilst in his post has been done with complete sincerity. 

If what’s been said about the bbc cut backs is true his family will be trying their best to reorganise and find a path forward which is a situation we’ve all found ourselves in. Chin up Ed, things will work out, I’m sure.
To those of you that made it personal, hang your heads in shame. I hope you don’t have to face the same scrutiny and cruelty should you find yourselves in a similar situation.

Whilst we bash away, mostly anonymously behind the keyboard, just go take a second to see what Josh Vickers is going through right now, Ed, just like us all is a real person. 
Regardless of how you feel about him as a person or his commentary style there is absolutely no need for personal stuff towards a fellow Derby fan.
Seriously, come on, have a word with yourselves.
 

It's quite an unpleasant forum on here sometimes isn't it.
The blokes doing his job,has some time off for unknown reasons and gets personally slagged off by fellow derby supporters whilst he does so.
