You only have to look at various clubs' accounts, to see what a difference our fan base makes over other teams. Our ticket sales are much better than those of Stoke and Bristol, even though we were a division below them at the time. Our turnover being £4m higher than Bristol, despite them getting around £5m more from the football league share out.

I think they were each given c36,000 tickets. Last I heard Bolton had sold 30,000.
Even allowing for League One, they haven't got the depth of fanbase we have.
The Oxford lot will be mostly daytrippers! 
Also, hospitality is always sparse when it's a lower-league offering as there are less hangers-on. Shame that section is directly opposite the tv cameras.

As with most things in football I imagine that this is simply down to money - Wildsmith (more likely his agent) thinks he can get more than we are prepared to offer and Derby think they can get a better keeper for the money Wildsmith (his agent) is prepared to accept.
He's been a good keeper for us these last 2 years, so no hard feelings and wish him good luck for the future.
Looking forward to seeing who we're bringing in now, whether that be Iversen, Johansson or someone else.

I understand there is a facility to add additional members to the squad during the summer.
 

Surprised we didn't offer Korey a year personally thought his performances at the end of the season were a big help in us going up.

If PW et al, having seen him perform in pre season training/friendlies don't think he's quite ready, I'm quite happy to accept their opinion. If there's a slight doubt, give him some cameos in August. If the doubts are founded, it's out on loan.

I would think that Warne will want some 'influence' in the dressing room from experienced players, I'd be surprised to see them all go. But who knows.

Maybe. It needs to be correctly targeted 'ruthlessness'.

But two was awful imho.
It's turned into a soap opera.

Mrs Badger liked it, but I'd have happily stopped watching.

The Responder first series was great and 3 episodes in for the new one I feel that has dropped off a tad. Still pretty good though.

I’m okay with it. There’s enough aspects of serious farming to make it educational. 
I laugh at the silly bits, as he intends us to. All reality TV is anything but, given there will be an entourage following everyone around and interactions will be scripted.
 I think everyone should be educated on how food reaches their table. Other farming programmes are more accurate but don’t have mass appeal.
It needs the daft bits to keep the audience amused in between the more serious messaging.
Clarkson screwing up and being abused by his co-stars makes us feel a bit better about our own shortcomings 😊

 

How many signings have their been in the Championship so far, I've not noticed many? These would all be free agents any way as the window for transfers (rather than free agents) doesn't open until 14th June.

Holding our own, being hard to beat, staying clear of relegation trouble. Anything else would be a bonus.

Stay out of trouble without any real threat of relegation and a suggestion that we might push on the year after. There is so much parachute money floating around that I think the finances are going to dictate a slow and steady approach and we'll have to be patient.

I doubt they will lose too much sleep over it. You always get a load of glory hunters for such games.

Very nearly early but not quite.
Bolton went above us after they drew at Barnsley on Tuesday 5th March (Bolton 70 points, Derby 69 points). We didn't play, they had a game in hand. We retook second place on the Saturday when we won away at Bristol and Bolton only drew at Exeter (Derby 72 points, Bolton 71 points). A week later we beat Bolton and, as they say, the rest is history.

Leeds v Norwich is the most one-sided playoff game since Derby v Brighton.
There is a big gap between these two. Makes Ipswich’s success all the more impressive.
Assuming it will be Leeds vs Southampton, I can’t think of a stronger playoff final.

He always comes over as bright decent family man who pedigree shines out when PW mentions his performances. Doubt there is any truth or evidence for these claims. 

It’s a term that is banded around a lot by people who don’t really know.

Now I do think we need to improve on Korey for this season, but an attitude problem?! What a load of s****.

We’re offering Burrows a contract despite him being under contract at Posh….
Smith had a bad attitude after being dropped, I wouldn’t interpret a 62nd minute knee injury in a game in November that kept him out until February as “being dropped”, and before then he’d played an active part in the side as well as coming back into the team after his injury… BUT maybe I’m mistaken in my interpretation 🤷🏻‍♂️ 

I'd give it to the 3rd choice keeper, just for the reactions on here.

Think he should nail his colours to the mast this year and select his captain. I’d strongly suspect Bradley will get it and to be honest I think he’d thrive off it!
