Tamworthram reacted to MK-Ram in Patrick Roberts - Gone to Troyes on loan
It's quite clear that nobody seems to know who we are actually in for

Tamworthram reacted to Anag Ram in Realistically ,New transfers in January????
Yes, if he'd let it past him he could have side footed it with his left. In fact, he could just have let it hit his shins and it would have gone in.
Instead he tried to hook his right leg round it and nearly fell over.
He's a battering ram not a finisher.

I like Would I lie to You but, in my opinion, Not Going Out jumped the shark a long tome ago.

IMO the VERY early ones are the best.

That’s the thing about being a defender, and a goal keeper in particular. Any sort of mistake grabs a lot of attention. As you say, you remember one mistake by Wisdom against Coventry but, does the mistake by our hero (mine too by the way) Colin, against QPR (when, if he’d used his left foot instead of his right he would very likely have scored earlier) go a little more under the radar?
Missing golden opportunities to score can be just as costly as making an error at the back.

I’m not familiar with the term ‘jumped the shark’ - is it anything like ‘spanking the monkey’?

Tamworthram reacted to FindernRam in watches....to dream on for
I tried a similar line " its only a useless bit of rock on your finger!" when she wanted:
Engagement ring, eternity ring, silver wedding ring, ruby wedding ring and birthdays ending in 0 rings.
Useful side effect was could turn the freezer off as the room temperature dropped to well below freezing.

Pro's: Nice looking watch
Cons: The date looks weird at that angle just to fit three dials in. Damned expensive for a bit of jewelry on your wrist ?

I never understood the kudos of having a car that can do over double the motorway speed limit unless you're living in Germany.

Tamworthram reacted to Comrade 86 in Kaide Gordon - signed for Liverpool
What on God's green earth has the Bellingham deal got to do with Kaide? One's a transfer fee, for a player who'd had a whole season of senior squad football, the other is compensation for a player whose not even signed a pro contract yet, hasn't started a single senior match and apparently doesn't want to sign for Derby anyway! Cheers Kaide by the way!
How can you possibly compare the two? There is literally nothing we can do about it.

I went for my COVID jab and the doctor asked me if I had had a sudden loss of taste. I said no. I always dress like this

If you enjoyed that, try The Staircase on Netflix. Similar concept. I think the guy in this was guilty as hell but make your own mind up.

Tamworthram reacted to Mucker1884 in 21/22 Season Tickets
I can only speak for myself, but I bought mine the evening they announced the suspension of sales for the following day (June, was it?). I purchased mine because they said if we can't attend matches this season, we will be credited accordingly towards the following (21/22) season. Other than dropping dead in the meantime, I was/am still looking to be a season ticket holder next season, so that worked for me. Admittedly, should we not be able to attend games in 21/22, I'm pinning my hopes on a similar offer moving forward to the following season. I guess there's always a chance we could go bust, and I'd get nothing. Being at the cheaper end of the seat categories, I was and remain happy with that little gamble.
For the record though, there are some on here who purchased their 20/21 season ticket so early (Jan/Feb 20), there was no sign of potential disruption, and Covid was some mid-page paragraph in "Chinese News in brief".

100% agree, hence my imaginary scenario/example. The "gullible amongst us" was very much aimed at myself. ?

Well, we've tried everything else so maybe we're onto a winner playing the season backwards.

Yep, the nephew’s case is an interesting and troubling one.
On one side I find it hard to believe that such senior and experienced appeal judges could dismiss the serious flaws in his taped interview that was apparent from the footage we saw that makes me think there must be more damning material. On the other hand though, it’s pretty shocking that such a young person, with obvious learning difficulties and low IQ, was allowed to be interviewed under caution and provide a confession without a legal representative being present regardless of the fact that he declined one.
And as for the material on the PC, who it belonged to and the fact that it was withheld, well where to start.
Apologies for the spoilers for anyone intending to watch it. I shan’t give away how it ends.

Tamworthram reacted to Chester40 in Watchable telly
I choose to believe the latter (at least in regards to his nephew). But who knows. Brilliant series, I don't know many people who have watched it but I could talk about it all day.
Regardless of what you believe, I think we can all agree the wheels of justice turn slowly and that he originally definitely served over a decade on the basis of the police basically deciding he seemed a guilty type of bloke.

Just finished watching The Spy on Netflix.
Very good and refreshing to see Sacha Baron Cohen playing a serious role.
