BPV reacted to Dcfcmike in 2021 / 2022 New kit
First post on the forum. Not sure if anyone has picked up on this at dcfc.co.uk but thought I'd share.
Derby County is committed to responsible gambling, and unbranded kits are available by emailing DCFCmegastore@dcfc.co.uk; and the junior kits will not be branded.
glad this is being made available for anyone not liking the sponsor or wanting a simplier shirt. I've ordered a plain one.

BPV reacted to GenBr in 2021 / 2022 New kit
The home kit is another boring design from Umbro, but i expected nothing less. May as well just give us a white tshirt with a ram on and be done with it. That leaked away kit has obviously been designed by a blind man

I’m an old fogey and thought fantastic when I saw the shirt Roy Mac was wearing then I saw the hotch potch CKR was wearing and heart sank. It’s dreadful , it’s even the wrong shade of blue as well. Big thumbs down from Reggie the Dinosaur

That was a great kit and helped by the amount of talent and great memories from that season.
Hopefully this one can inspire the team too.

Oh for a minute, I got really excited thinking it was the first shirt ?
But, anyhow, it's not bad and a nice nod to the past ?

I don't hate it, but I'm not sure on the collar. Looks like they couldn't decide between round neck or v-neck and decided "lets have both" was the way forward...
If the comment earlier in this thread about someone who was friends with an Umbro employee being told the away kit is a banger, then I will wait to see that before parting with some money this season.

The video promised a decent commerative kit, I like it, but a missed opportunity.

BPV reacted to Carl Sagan in Captain Tom Lawrence
I said in the Morrison thread we were gambling in the last-chance saloon. Now we're going all in.

BPV reacted to Gee SCREAMER !! in Captain Tom Lawrence
Not seen a player made captain in the hope you may get an improvement in the basics of the game. They normally need to show there better at the basics than everyone else first. What a very odd choice .

BPV reacted to DanS1992 in Captain Tom Lawrence
Well, one of the main instigators of the joiners shambles who has no visible leadership qualities is now club captain... When the going gets tough, do I honestly think Tom will be the man to rally the troops, be vocal and drag us through? The answer is no. Wrong decision for me this, I don't think he is captain material. Hope he proves me wrong.

BPV got a reaction from Bubbles in Ravel Morrison - signed 1 year deal
Would love to be wrong, but can only see this going the same way as Ibe. Different circumstances obviously, but has failed to sort himself out at any club he’s been to.
Clearly a talented player but doesn’t have his head in it at all.

BPV reacted to Igor Igor Whats the Score? in Matt Clarke - signed for WBA on loan
Can we close this thread please. It’s ridiculous some people think Clarke was a realistic transfer target. Good luck to him but let’s move on.

Just absolutely bloody loves the Rams, doesn't he?
Why would anyone want to move back to Barcelona or Amsterdam after experiencing Derbyshire?

BPV reacted to rams4ever in EFL Verdict
It seems strange to me that the EFL can instruct a club to re-submit accounts which were audited. This suggests that the auditors didn't spot that the accounts didn't comply with accounting regulations. could we sue the auditors for negligence?

BPV reacted to Raich Carter in EFL Verdict
Just a thought but filing accounts is a legal requirement for HMRC. EFL, no matter who they think they are, do not have the same powers as HMRC so I'm not sure that, legally speaking, DCFC are obliged to re-file. They could generate a new set of accounts based on the preferred practises of the EFL for the EFL but legally, they're not allowed to instruct DCFC to re-submit accounts - only the HMRC can do that. Obviously they can do under the guise of membership to the league, etc but they don't have the legal standing to demand that sort of stuff.
And it is very obviously a set-up. As soon as the new accounts are submitted, based on 'normal' amortisation, then they'll come back at us and gives us a points deduction - they have to to save face. This is gonna rumble on for ages and as has been said, it's a massive cloud over the club for both us and potential signings. This is already damaging enough so there needs to be some mediation here to get it done and dusted.
The EFL are utterly feckless. Despite thinking they're hard and tough, they're just playing at it. If they really wanted to nip this whole thing in the bud then kick us out of the league to stop it happening again. At times, I think I'd rather than than this death by a thousand cuts.

Sounds like the club are as sick of the EFL's poo as everyone else is.

BPV reacted to Woodley Ram in EFL Verdict
Some questions:
So does this mean the transfer embargo is now lifted?
How could the EFL have given a retrospective penalty for a season that has ended (they have never done that before)
Why did the EFL release the Wycombe/Derby fixture list message. ( you might say things not do them)
How will this affect new ownership and transfers
If we are guilty of FFP (regarding the resubmitted accounts) what is the max penalty
Can we sue the EFL for the loss of Marriott, the fixture list comment, defamation of Derby's name
It interesting to see DCFC have not issued a comment, I guess they are talking to the lawyers first

BPV reacted to Kennington Ram in EFL Verdict
When you run a sports league and you have to release interchangeable fixtures because you mangled the interpretation and enforcement of your own rules, surely you have to consider whether you're the problem...
That said really wish Mel and Co had at some stage decided not to take the piss. De-escalating it just a few years back would surely have just avoided this.

BPV reacted to angieram in EFL Verdict
Exactly. If the EFL had questioned the method in the first season we did it, we would have resubmitted then. At worst it would have been a one season blip and an earlier change to slightly more prudent trading than happened.
I am incredulous that the EFL has not been questioned and highlighted about this by the so-called independent journalists who report on these matters. They just seem content to jump on the EFL anti-Derby bandwagon. Puppets!
