Agreed - win 4 of the home games and take a point from one of the away games.

Or should we just go for 7 wins and be done with it ?

Because of the re-scheduled Huddersfield game, 5 out of the next 7 games are at home.
    Sheff Utd
    Birmingham
    Hull
    Peterborough
    Millwall
Away games are Forest and Boro.
Anybody else looking at these fixtures and thinking we have a great chance of closing the gap and that we couldn't really be wishing for a better run of fixtures.

We need 12+ points from them 7. Can see us maybe getting 14-15 if we carry on the league form.
Id imagine clubs above us would start sweating if we got a good return from them. Especially as 2 home games are vs relegation rivals.

If we need a form rate of 1.67 points per game, over 7 games that's 11.67.
So, can we get 12 points from the next 7 fixtures?
    W:D:L = 4:0:3 or 3:3:1
It seems possible. But not definite. I hope that we can smash it!

Honestly, have none of you got nothing better to do than keep going over the same ground every hour of every day.
Surely your getting bored now. What will you do with the spare time you have when in the next 4 weeks COVID stops getting spoke about around the world.

Scenario - we are 3 points off safety when we come to play Boro and the team need our full support. Would staying away or going to the game be the better option?

Do you think £100k would make a massive difference to Boro compared to 3k Derby supporters roaring the Rams on?

I’d feel better knowing we’ve taken 3 points off them and moved closer to safety than thinking I was lining Gibsons pocket.

If anything, we’d just get jibed with poo support chants and how can we make our feelings known if we aren’t there.

We are playing the academy of the Premier League champions. They have the pick of the best young players from right across Europe, either from a very early age or when they choose to hoover them up from other academies. ?
They are without some of their fringe first team players but our entire forward line and best young midfielder are with our first team.
Despite this obvious mis-match we have limited them to a few speculative shots. I'd say we are doing okay so far.

I just think Gibsons goal is to ensure we do not get taken over until it can’t make any difference to this season - make sure we don’t do anything in jan to strengthen.
I can’t see it being anything else. He knows he can’t win, everybody knows there’s no case - the fact no one has put a proper reputable piece out there about it other than tabloid rubbish is cause no one really sees it as anything but posturing.
In BBC articles and sky etc it’s only ever a tibet at the bottom. Im surprised it’s taken this long for someone to finally ask a sports lawyer to offer their opinion - that as we all could of guessed essentially shuts it down.
Let’s just hope this week is the week whether Appleby or Ashley - that we get a preferred bidder and start solving the mess and put these guys (Gibson and Wycombe) on the back burner.

Think this is the time to say enough is enough and make a lot of noise about the stupidity of these chairmen. Taking advantage of a club in administration with a case with no legal basis as there is no basis to show any tactics used by Derby led to Boro or Wycombe being financially worse off. There needs to be a big protest at Boro, more fans need to show up, not less. Go to the main entrance, the police will not be able to stop a large number of fans peacefully but vocally calling out Gibson. I think more of us should show up for this one. No point in attempting a boycott as fans will travel anyway. We need to support the team and make it heard publicly how Gibson is going about his business. Not bothered what Boro or Wycombe fans think. Their (club chairmen) behaviour is callous and if we survive and get taken over (if this goes to court), I hope there is pressure applied to recoup any court costs and even cases brought against these chairmen by the EFL to stop unfair persecution. There could even be a claim for defamation of business towards the Wycombe chairman for his statements.
