No surprise both our goals came from playing the ball on the ground and not from one of the 300 crosses aimed at the 6'5" striker we don't have.

Bingo. I remain totally convinced that the best case scenario under Warne is that we tread water, but the worst case is we slide totally backwards with him in charge. Neither of those are acceptable outcomes for DCFC.

Great to have equalised but Warne does not deserve this - his failings costs us again today.

The way this game is set up, Sibley instead of Smith would be a massive improvement. And as bad as he is, Collins would help for these crosses. 

Maybe we'll sell Collins to Shrewsbury?

He's got great movement, a decent touch and link play and he's got a bit of PACE! Was refreshing to watch him play, perhaps between him and Ward we could create a lot more chances 
Bin off Collins in January and buy another striker to help aid options in attack 

Even if that game ended 0-0, it was everything we've been asking for and more. Credit where it's due to the players and staff. I'm actually excited for the next match now. What an odd feeling.

Good performance against one of the worst teams we've seen at Pride Park in recent years, but you can only beat what's in front of you. We absolutely must follow this up now and go into games with attacking intent, rather than approaching them as if we're the underdog.

I know it’s quite possibly a false dawn and yes, it’s only Northampton but isn’t this what we want from Derby and from Paul Warne?

I'll say it again; this is exactly the reaction you would want to see from Warne and Co.

As someone in the Warne out camp why would I be annoyed at the result and performance so far?
I, and I'd imagine most of people who think in a similar way, would be more than happy to be proven wrong.
All you're doing is poo stirring.

People had every right to moan with how we’ve played this season and the way to answer the moaners is with games like this 

My stance is that there isn't any improvement, the football isn't any more coherent and there aren't any signs of us using the academy or building for the future. I don't see it. If we were building a squad of young hungry players that we making mistakes I would be able to see a direction. As it stands I don't see any vision or direction for the club. As a result, I'd like to see change. Whether it's Warne or bringing in a director of football. Something needs to change.

The classic "everyone who has a different viewpoint to me is young and impulsive". It's not about instant success. It's about seeing evidence of progress and about seeing improvement over his tenure. The fact is we're on as many points after 14 games this year as last. Indicating that we've made no progress on a side that only finished 7th. 
We aren't building a squad for the future with the profiles of players we're signing. If the plan was to prepare for a longer term project, Warne wasn't the right guy.
