Gringo got a reaction from Bubbles in This is why the EFL are gunning for Mel
Mel and Derby county were one of the ring leaders along with Villa and Leeds in terms of telling the EFL they could not negotiate their way out of a wet paper bag.
    https://www.derbytelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/efl-sky-tv-Derby-leeds-2209661
Looking at the fall out of a clearly bad TV deal, the media said "Morris is the only chairman of a Football League club to lift his head above the parapet and suggest that the Football League should have negotiated a better deal for its clubs, but those pleas appear to have fallen on deaf ears."   Mel's view was that SKY should have paid £300million not the £120million that they eventually negotiated.
The championship is an exciting league, I would argue more exciting than who will finish second to Man City
This whole thing with the EFL and Mel is in my opinion, nothing to do with how to amortise your depreciation, they just want to remove him from the Football League as they regard him as a trouble maker who questions their competence to run the third most popular league in the world, DCFC will be just collateral damage

The same corners  of the Internet that think the covid vaccine is produced by Bill Gates to inject microchips into all of our bodies so we can be controlled by the new world order?

Gringo reacted to Woodley Ram in Wycombe threaten to sue and send us into admin. if we stay up!
I think there are a few words in there that could fall into the potentially liable category and at he least be incorrect. 'Systematically cheat', 'years upon years of violating the rules' and 'having some trouble paying its creditors'.
Couhig would need to prove that Derby had a system in place to cheat the FFP, whilst you could argue that Derby have been found guilty of this with the amortisation. Derby have never hidden the policy, and it was signed off by the auditors. there is a difference between proving someone cheated and someone did something incorrectly. Derby have never tried to hide the policy or accounts so what ever you think about it proving cheating would be difficulty.
Years upon years of violating rules. Well one rule not more than one. Again Derby have been upfront with the policy and if asked to change by the EFL would have done. For me this is the one (apart from the rules part) that is the most accurate.
Trouble paying its creditors, he must have some information that we don't, I have never heard that we have failed to pay creditors, players yes but not creditors. I think unless he knows something we don't then he could have problems with that.
If I was Derby I would pass the FFP and then sue him.

To use a term fairly common in my organisation, the EFL and Wycombe need to lawyer up, as I anticipate  the EFL will get an injunction stopping them relegating us should they press the nuclear option and Wycombe need to stop slandering the club in the press and the media, I would go for Wycombe first and issue a cease and desist notification prior to action.
Nick De Marco must be rubbing his hands at all the work he is going to get.

Great podcast Kieran Maguire came across as erudite knowledgeable and very interesting, all those on here slagging him off should spend an hour listening to this podcast, he did not come across as anti dcfc, and explained all the options from the EFL that gave me a lot of hope.

Even Kieran Maguire said last night on the Rams review podcast that our finance department should go on an extended vacation so that we cannot submit the books until the last minute, as then the EFL would not be able to relegate the Rams.

I have emailed the sports minister and the football governance review body and my local MP, in case Crouchy won’t deal with my email as I’m not a constituent.
I think all Rams fans should do the same, as the EFL is out of control and not showing any fairness in its approach.
    Every bit helps !!

I would ask you urgently to intervene in the witch-hunt being undertaken by the EFL towards my football club, Derby County.
Having been fined £100 000 yesterday and warned re future accounting practices, following investigation by an independent panel ( for the second time), the EFL continue to press for a points deduction, with an unprecedented aim to relegate the club after the season has finished.
What is the point of an independent panel if its decision is not respected by the regulator ?
I feel the EFL is out of control, is being heavily influenced by third parties and is therefore not acting in a fair and unbiased way.
The EFL needs to be warned by the government about its behaviour towards its member clubs. Currently its approach is verging on bullying and I suspect it will end in the High Court, with the destruction of a founder member of the football league and hundreds of associated redundancies.

I would support this but given the furore on £25 for rams TV I cannot see many fans donating, certainly not 40,000.
Newcastle fans are trying to raise money to buy Mike Ashley  out and after a number of weeks have only raised £100,000 and there are far more Toon fans than Rams fans.
