Gringo got a reaction from SunnyRam in The ultimate blame
The ultimate blame lies with the supporters, demanding new players twice a year, demanding seat prices to be lower and demanding promotion to the premiership whatever the cost. So the richest man in Derby has run out of cash and the will to carry on subsidizing a club where a  cohort  of supporters want him to “walk away now” and to “eff off” but are evidently not prepared to put their own hands in their pockets in any meaningful way. The facts are (for the benefit of corporal dictionary). The wages are being paid as evidenced by no new charges from the EFL, new potential signings do want to join the Rams as evidenced by the quantity of triallists, previous foot balling debts paid evidenced by the removal of that charge by the EFL, but no this is not enough, the fans want see Mel bankrupted all his money gone and living in a cardboard box under a railway arch, the loss of hundreds of millions of his personal money is not enough, he should be made to eff off so the baying rabble shout. My last word is be careful what you wish for you might get it, he or MSD would still own the stadium, wages would not be paid and more than a hundred employees of DCFC would lose their jobs and the club would be liquidated.
    Would that give you satisfaction?
cutting ones nose off would appear to be the plastic surgery of choice for most on here.

Well, outside estimates are that whoever takes on the club will also take on between £40m and £60m pounds worth of debt (loans HMRC etc). This is what Mel is asking for. He doesn't appear to be asking for any money out of the £200m he has already invested for himself.
Would you like him to pay out another £40m on top of the £200m to make it easier?

Although I cannot place a bet here, I am arranging through a friend in the uk a bet that the Rams will get promotion 16/1 is a nice price and worth a good punt.
FWIW I would rather cut off my own arm than either bet against the rams or bet on them being relegated, anyone who does is beneath contempt

I agree with that to some extent, Rev, but it sets a tone that others repeat here and elsewhere, sometimes directly to players e.g. on Twitter. I also suspect some players find their way onto Forums like ours from time to time - poor souls!
I have never personally had an issue with posters who post constructive criticism of either players or the more general position of the club, but you have to admit there are a number of posters who are relentlessly negative about everything to do with the club and are overly personal in their abuse of individual players, coaching staff or the owner. While they may be able to shake this off and get fully behind the team on matchdays (which I have my doubts about in some instances ?), many others who are less able to detach themselves in that way take it on board and shout out the abuse directly to players at games.
I often post little snippets from the club Twitter feed on here to try to introduce something positive to chat about just to break the cycle, but the amount of smart-arse replies I get when I do discourages me from even trying.
And I don't mean the jokey stuff, I mean the dragging absolutely everything that the club does into a negative. I think quite a lot of posters find it tiresome. I know I do.

Honestly, I feel more confident with our potential squad starting this season than last. Last seasons pre-season was a joke set-up and mostly done with kids due to injuries etc. Shoot me down but I feel like we will start the season decently.

Gringo got a reaction from Leeds Ram in Is this the most depressing period you’ve experienced as a Derby fan?
There are 2 times I have felt depressed about the Rams, the first when Tommy Docherty ripped apart a great side and replaced great players with awful replacements and we saw what clough was doing at forest, but the time that has depressed me the most is now when I come on here and see the “I can be a worse fan than you “ postings of the deplorables who think it is big and clever to slag off every aspect of the club, it makes me vomit. I hate social media at least in the past the anti fan had to keep their thoughts to themselves or if they voiced them in the pub would get a knuckle sandwich.
