    Somebody said on twitter the other day that they don't look like they've worked on anything tactical during pre-season. There's no pattern of play.
    I disagree. I think it appears to be a lot of kicking it long, kicking it wide. It's not pretty at all.

    Expertly pointed out by Eric Steele, but Cashin keeps doing this because none of our central midfielders are dropping back and taking the ball off him. There's no option for the centre-halves to play the ball through at the moment. Smith and Hourihane both constantly too far forward, Bird all over the place. 
    It's the midfield that are causing problems for Cashin.

    At this point I think I’d probably take him as he’s young enough to improve. Plays the same role Smith does at Wednesday. Might benefit from the constant service he’d get here and offers us a bigger presence in the box.

    Derby are running a lot and, other than that, there doesn't seem to be too much more to the gameplan.
    I really hope we are not going to be a kick-it-long-and-chase-it team but you couldn't blame someone for assuming that's us now 😞

    Got a feeling we'll come out like the clappers today. High intensity. Early goal. 
    If it goes south, I really worry what the atmosphere will be like, both in the ground and online!
