ollycutts1982 got a reaction from Miggins in Supporters Charter Group Apology
@David first and foremost I appreciate you putting the apology out there although not needed in the slightest. As for the backlash you received, totally uncalled for, those little cretins need to crawl back under their rock and have a good hard look at who they are.
For me personally the work you do on this forum is second to none. I truly hope it is a source of enjoyment for you and doesn’t become a chore. Without you and the other moderators we wouldn’t have such a great platform to discuss all things Derby. I see the forum like a family, we may not always get on, we may disagree, fall out, name call and argue but we all have our beloved club at heart. We are lucky to have you, as are the club lucky to have such a forum for their supporters.
Keep your chin up, on the whole from what I’ve read these past few days the vast majority of the forum is behind you. Testament to that is members defending you in your absence.
I suppose there is a lot of ill feelings and uncertainty towards the club at the minute due to numerous issues and I guess many thought a lot more information would come out from the meeting, otherwise why hold it.
Keep up the excellent work but remember you yourself are far more important.

You lot are something else. ??
Appreciate all the messages, especially the one that said I’m young. Whilst I hear all the you have nothing to apologise for messages, I feel I did and couldn’t just swan back in here like nothing had happened.
Now I have addressed it and the football is back, hopefully we can all draw a line under this episode and move on.
This is a time when we all need to be together right now.

I’m not comfortable @Davidthat it’s clear you’re beating yourself up and somewhat embarrassed or apologetic for something that’s truly nothing.
One thing is clear is that when things aren’t great at DCFC, a lot of ‘entitled’ fans channel their anger and aggression into the wrong areas.
in THAT season, fans turned on Dean Sturridge (on RD at the time), turned on matchday stewards (I was one), turned on each other and generally were very poor losers, this feels similar.
you owe nobody anything. I hope you soon realise that your commitment and contribution alone, and that’s not including your character, personality and dedication to posters/fans alike, should allow you to stand up straight, chin up and proud. Don’t be bowing your head in any circumstance!

Okay. Fair does. I thought they were commenting about arguing, fullstop. I've gone back and reread it, and it does seem they think your comment about the black CB was out of order. I have no idea why, other than it's an 'easy' way of describing a player whose name you don't know. I'd probably have done the same in my describing.

Not the case; Huddersfield had 3 white defenders and a black chap. The black chap was outstanding and probably MotM. I don’t recall his name. So I described him. If I couldn’t remember our Polish winger’s name, I’d describe him as our diminutive Polish winger. That is all fact. There is nothing evaluative or value-laden in those words. So, too many people are too quick to engage their own reactive opinions before they think through the implications of their insinuating accusations. Otherwise we become all too quickly enveloped in a Kafka-esque existence of insinuated guilt without a shread of evidence.

Apologies I didn't realise that was the rule, I once had a friend called David if that counts?
I don't mind being tarred, feathered and paraded round Derby on a lead by Ewie should we lose.

Hopefully never, a comfortable 3-0 will do.

For me it is very concerning that numerous representatives were at the meeting yet we still no absolutely nothing about the contents of it. What little has come out we all knew anyway. Once again a farce and a slap in the face of the fan base.

Derby County v Salford City
EFL Cup
Tuesday 10th August
7:45pm Kick Off
My first one so go easy on me.
We already know Allsop will play, our threadbare squad means we might not see wholesale changes. Morrison will surely start as may Sibley. The fear is with just Davies and Stearman as our only CB's are they up to the rigors of Sat/Tues fixtures. I can't see Cashin playing due to the professional standing rule and taking up a slot.
Wins breed confidence and we definitely need the income generated by going through to the next round.
Lets just hope Rooney doesn't try have another go at bringing dignity back to the club as he did when we faced the same opposition in pre season.

Surely if we win this then @ollycutts1982 keeps Carabao Cup games.

Is there some kind of etiquette I am not following? Did I need to do a masonic handshake prior?
Apologies if I've rustled any feathers.

No nothing of any substance yet, what little has come out is what we already knew and was in the public domain. David got a lot of stick which was totally uncalled for in the aftermath. Unfortunately this seems to be how the club is ran nowadays. Even to the point where they are happy for fans such as David who do it through their love of the club are hung out to dry. Shameful.

I've been away, and the last I heard was on the night when David said he would post his report the following morning. Came on here today expecting to read some details, but am I right in concluding that nothing of substance has actually been reported back?
If David's place at the meeting was as a representative of this forum, then it does beg the question as to "what was the point?"

Unpopular opinion but Bird offers absolutely nothing to our team. Receives the ball too square never on the half turn so his only option is ever backwards. Could do with a day watching Thorne’s highlights. Not a battler nor a passer or progressive player. I despise the fact that we get a free kick and the takers first instinct is to look behind him.
Morrison may well be able to pick a forward pass. We can only hope. Decent result today but Huddersfield will be down there with us. 2 points lost for us and a point gained for them.
