I think you’ve echoed what a lot of us are thinking and how we are feeling.

Football and specifically Derby County is a form of escapism for many of us and should be a source of enjoyment and happiness. Attending a match, the buzz of arriving at the ground, the click of the turnstiles, heading up into the stand and seeing the first glimpse of the pitch, then sitting down and watching our beloved club, win lose or draw.

Of late that escapism has recently become second to the very realisation that it could all be taken away from us.

I find myself constantly checking my phone. Checking this thread 3/4 times a minute. Scrolling through to see if there are any updates, thanks @RoyMac5amongst others for keeping on top of twitter etc.
The good thing is that we are all in this together, our partners or nearest and dearest might not fully understand what impact this is having on us but this forum does.

Keep sharing and keep posting. This platform will offer all the support that is needed, that is one certainty I am sure of.

Good point. I took up running during the first lockdown. I usually am really active, coaching grassroots, playing footy, socialising. But when all that was taken away I felt I needed something to occupy my time. Nearly 2 years on and 2.5 stone lighter I absolutely love it. I often go at 6am and find it really clears my head, earphones in, upbeat music and off I go for 30/60mins. So good for destressing and also has health benefits. Same with walking too. Best of all it’s free. ??

Don't know that I am dealing with it at all really. I swing between anger and frustration to helplessness that I can't really do anything and sometimes to just feeling a bit numb and not really interested in or focussed on much at all. That's not really me, I'm generally a bit of a 'heart on sleeve' type normally.
Sometimes I just walk away from the noise of all this for a bit and sometimes that helps, sometimes it doesn't. The constant delays and setbacks and broken deadlines are a bit toxic to morale.

Apart from my significant other's repeated plees for me to "just stop doomscrolling" and "it's not helping" and "you're being a right arse" (all true, I have been a right arse lately).
I'd suggest getting regular exercise, being kind to people, remembering that as much as this hurts, we will get through this.
I also have a dog and my furry friend never fails to take my mind off the situation (whether it's being adorable or because he's doing my nut in...)
And just to say, I'll happily take DM off anyone.

Just posted something loosely along similar lines in the admin thread.  Fast losing interest in the politics now, but raring to go on Sunday.
Matchday is the main thing, for sure.  If I ultimately have to find something else to do on matchdays, due to having no team to watch, then I'll worry about that if and when it happens.
No point whittling about stuff we can do sod all about!   ?

I'm moving house, so that's kind of exciting and is providing a good distraction.
That being said, fellow Rams, if you are feeling distressed, anxious or need mental health advice, there is a helpline set up specifically by Derbyshire NHS Foundation Trust for residents of the county. If you're registered at a Derbyshire GP, you can call 0800 028 0077 24/7. They may be able to help provide some positive advice on how to distract yourself and move forward.
I also work for a local mental health service (in a non-clinical role) which offers scheduled therapy. Our waiting times are wacky at the moment so don't expect to be seen right away however it may help to talk. Services you can self-refer to in Derbyshire are as follows:
    Trent PTS - https://www.trentpts.co.uk/
    Vita Minds - https://www.vitahealthgroup.co.uk/nhs-services/nhs-mental-health/Derby-and-derbyshire/
    Insight Healthcare - https://www.insighthealthcare.org/
    Talking Mental Health - http://www.derbyshirehealthcareft.nhs.uk/tmhd-refer
Of course, hopefully all this will be resolved positively in the coming weeks and all of what I've just typed will become unnecessary but it's here for anybody who might need it.
Obviously, if you're experiencing really dark moments and believe yourself to be at risk of self-harm, please call 111 or go to A&E.
Look after yourselves boys and girls, brighter days will come.

There are enough disgruntled fans out there from numerous other clubs to raise the notion the EFL isn't fit for purpose, us, Birmingham, Bolton, Wigan, Bury, Macclesfield.
If a coordinated effort was made to bring fans together and get everyone banging the same drum the cause would soon gain momentum. Look at what we achieved in a few days last week.
