Interesting team selection - can people get their moans out of the way now so the rest of us can get our positives in first

Us or them, they're without Rodak (GK) Cairney (Capt) and Mitro (Cheat mode striker at this level)

That said their squad aint bad for replacements.

Just perusing the BBC website whilst on my lunch break. I've become accustomed to going into the comments section on Derby articles and seeing comments in the mindset of "you deserve it" and the general laughing at us and no one liking Derby etc. Whereas after the result yesterday it's full of comments from people wishing us well and hoping we pull off the great escape (even from Forest fans!).

Hopefully us "taking our medicine" as some like to call it, looking to repair relations with the EFL and other clubs and showing fighting spirit starts to get us back on the road to where we were in 2013/14 as being everyone's second favourite team.

I know you don't get extra points for being likeable, but I've grown sick and tired of the mocking comments and ill-will over the last few years.

I noticed that yesterday as well, also on the Guardian btl section, quite refreshing to see some fans realising that us Rams fans have suffered from something that was totally beyond our control as normally, as you say, it's variations of 'you deserve it' 'disgusting club' and Leeds fans having a go at Frank Lampard.

I should turn the other cheek, but I am a petty and vindictive man, so am quite looking forward to some other clubs getting shafted due to their owners actions in the coming years.

I think Luton were given an almighty penalty (not sure what for) , but that just showed how these things snowball. EFL  relegate a club and what happens? they lose money and are in a further financial mess.  It makes no sense.

Luton and Leeds were both very harshly (in my opinion) dealt with by the EFL/FA, Luton was basically for admitting to dodgy agent use.

  4. I'd have Foukes around the same height as me at 5'11, which unfortunately saw me released at 16, however he is playing for the U23's, essentially a ressies side which shows confidence by the club in him and also a level beyond the lads that were youth keepers at Derby at my age and the year after who were both under 6 foot and didn't grow so never played beyond the U18's.

Most GK coaches I speak with won't really look at ANY keeper under 6 foot, but i still maintain that if the talent is there then give them a chance a lad I know who was released at 15 by Reading went away and did A levels and trained privately with coaches has just been signed by Everton for their Dev sides.

Always difficult to tell with GKs... their chance of making it generally depends on how much they grow.

Very much this, we had a keeper called Jon Thompson who was England U16's keeper back in the early 90's, unfortunately never made it past 6 foot so he joined the Royal Navy instead.

Follow this lad and Foukes on twitter, both look to be solid keepers so would be nice to have another Lee GRant/Lee Camp situation.

    EFL scrapping five subs

The EFL is scrapping the five substitutions rule for the 2021/22 campaign.

The rule, allowing clubs to make five changes per game as opposed to the usual three, was brought in upon football's restart in June 2020 following the Covid-enforced break.

So Championship, League One and League Two teams can name seven substitutes but will only be able to use a maximum of three.

Concussion changes will be granted if required, and the Premier League's concussion substitution rules will also remain.

So could be a concussion sub

We are going back 15 years here (!) but it was RamsTrust that first highlighted concerns with the 3 amigos. Literally on the day they did their press conference we had member digging into their backgrounds and financial records - and highlighted multiple concerns (especially around Murdo Mackay). We got press coverage, and a number of members (myself included) printed and handed out flyers outside the ground to increase fans' awareness on a number of occasions.

Over a few years we exposed more and more details (and complied the dossier mentioned above - which was handed over to Peter Gadsby and the police) - there were a number of responses whcih we asked Jeremy Keith et al in meetings which we minuted and were used in the case against them.

Greg Lake and the RPG did a fantastic job raising the protests to the next level - they put some money in to buy banners / foam hands etc. which had much more impact inside and outside the ground. As mentioned above, RamsTrust could not be seen to be leading those protests as we needed to maintain a relationship with the club to continue our aims (And to continue to question the board). Jeremy Keith personally told me we would be cut off if we promoted protests. We all took part in the protests, but could not be seen to be leading them.

Peter Gadsby will tell you both were vital - the pressure externally, through the media and particularly pressure on the Co-Op Bank, and fans around the ground protesting both contributed massively to forcing the Bank to take action to remove them and install the LOG.

Did that dossier involve a chip shop owner from Wolverhampton and McKays scheme to buy 'shares' in players and sell them on?

Jeremy Keith was interviewed on Radio Derby at the time, He admitted to paying himself circa £60k a year with a very lucrative expense account, A family member was paid very well for the sound system, Keith complained about the method of interview as he had his Children in the car outside...bless him.

I know, I've seen the invoices submitted by all of them to the club. Best one was MM having an invoice in for expenses for scouting at the African Cup of Nations, whilst also having 2 stays at Breadsall priory during the same time period invoiced, when questioned the DCFC staff member was told to pay it and not ask questions. That was symptomatic of how it was run.

The ex-coppers company also repossessed the DCFC cars from Keith et al, which was nice for a team of all Derby fans!

Some would say it was the RPG who exposed the "3 amigos" and RT clung onto thier coat tails looking to claim the spoils.

I know how that started, with Lionel employing an ex-DCI from Derbyshire Police who had previously worked for the FA on the Chesterfield fraud, his company did all the pre-investigation and compiling evidence that enabled the Police to actually take it as a job.

Dangling leg  or the Kewell special in old money.  Ours normally involve 5 seconds of basketball in the box or a tackle with both feet at the pace of Jona Lomu. Then play is waved on.

Saw the Shirt pulling and handball on the We Are Derby vid on RamsTV and it was astounding how we didn't get them. Didn't we go last season without a pen until Sheff Wed game as well?

It looks like they might have tightened the international restrictions for viewing. I've tried to watch it from the US, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Belgium, Japan and South Africa. I'm incredibly jet lagged right now and still no closer to watching it.

I'm in Romania and it's on, EDIT: I think I can see @Bald Eagle's Barmy Armyin the corner
