CK wasn't my proffered choice until I realised Rooney knew of him and backs him. He was described by Percy as being the dream buyer as he was in cahoots with a big football agent, Stretford.
CK is an unknown but if Rooney is backing him, Alan Nixon claims he is very wealthy, Simon Jordan claims he is very wealthy, the administrators claim he is very wealthy, the only people doubting him are 40 year old men from chad, me ?
I'm intrigued to see the bid from Appleby, Rush and Moxey though, I have a feeling they have a very wealthy backer, so wealthy that they are letting the money do the talking, just my guess.

No good chairman, in the history of football, has ever put a club in administration.
Only the worst of the worst in that particular vocation manage that, considerably worse when you began cash rich in the first place.
    There is no defending him.

It was private for a long time and Wayne kept it very professional. Wayne funding the away trips and the lack of communication from Mel Morris were kept under wraps as long as Mel continued at the club. Mel kept making promises to Wayne that never came to fruition and then decided to throw Wayne and everybody else under the bus with no warning by putting the club into administration.
Once Mel decided he no longer wanted anything to do with Derby County he is fair game. There is no way in hell that anything that Wayne Rooney said could be construed as him throwing Mel under the bus. Wayne kept it professional as long as he could, but he isn't made of stone - if Mel is going to shaft him repeatedly he isn't going to stay quiet forever.

    Throw Morris under the bus??
Behave! Morris treated Rooney terribly. Non existent communication, without a care in the world for what admin meant to people. I don’t think Rooney did throw him under the bus, but Morris definitely doesn’t deserve any sympathy. Terrible chairman. Rooney handled that situation brilliantly.

For the doubters about the academy another 2 young lads have slotted into the first team playing against Bournemouth and Fulham and both did not look out of place, the future via the academy is very bright, guided by the experienced Jags and Curtis and senior players on the pitch.
Cocu was for me should have been the perfect fit for PSVs academy over 5 years made a profit of £100 million pounds on player sales over 5 years and the team won the Dutch league 3 times in that time, sadly for Cocu and his staff it was the wrong time for Derby with the mess we were in,prior to there arrival.

On point 2 the major difference for me is one of intent; we are trying to play football this season, take the game to people and make things happen. Yeah sometimes we make a bit of a fluff of trying to play our way out of trouble but I can respect that we keep trying to make it work and we are overall getting better at it. It's the same going forwards we don't score enough on paper that's for sure but it doesn't seem like it's from a lack of intent and even then I don't think we are far from finding the right balance to create enough meaningful chances. We are a mismatch of players who are past it, mediocre or at the very start of their career it would be easy to revert to percentage football or meekly accept our doom and yet we haven't and are still trying to do the right things.
For me that's what's entertaining about this season; I can see a team shaping and evolving in spite of the external goings on. It's fun to see Bird really starting to hit his stride this season, Ebosele breaking through to terrorise players, Thompson coming out of nowhere as if he'd been playing in the championship for for 5 years or the likes of Jagielka and Davies pulling out every last trick they can to stop us conceding. The overall spirit of the team is one that is giving it's all and pulling in the same direction. Will it be good enough to get safety this season? Probably not but at least we go down giving our best effort.

Point 1: I’ve noticed that. We’re more vocal with lower than optimum numbers.
Point 2: beg to differ there @Carl Sagan; not often I disagree with your good self but I’m thoroughly enjoying the football. The images of Festy blitzing the Fulham fullback last night like a bike chasing after a train will live in my mind. And Curtis racing forward and setting up TL for the awesome strike that their keeper somehow beat behind. Bloody joyful football. Rooney has really got this group gelled and working like a machine. A few tweaks and …who knows!

There are a lot of fans who are not turning up who might wish to be ‘busting a gut’ too. However, COVID has not been fair to the old - and we do have I would suggest a quite old fan demographic - nor has it been kind to many in terms of income. I think it’s a bit crass to call out fans who in the past have done their bit, but for now have good reason for not being able to attend.

This is where we can help the players, when they look like they are struggling and things not going our way, this needs belting out.
Brings back memories of some of the 1980's atmosphere,  simple, loud and proud!
I remember Leicester away in the 2nd leg of Milk Cup game, them top flight us 3rd division, singing 'we are Derby, we are Derby, Super Derby, Super Rams' over and over and every time they tried to get a song going we just ramped it up a notch and drowned them out.......

We all know this and our limitations - you two are not blessed with higher football knowledge than the rest of us but after a few crap months most of us are just happy to celebrate the points tally from what seemed like two impossible fixtures after the -9.

One more point from a rare trip to a game - loved the applause and finally the chants for Harry Wilson. Must have made him feel very special when he went off to have the away end sing ‘he’s got to be worth 50 million’. Nice touch for someone who’s season with the club left a legacy of some remarkable memories.

A rather confused post. That Fulham team would be a bit different if they get promoted, with signings. The 90% claim is just cobblers.
Every team needs grafters, why are you complaining we have some? The CD partnership of Davies and Jagielka needs no defence from me, the stats speak for themselves. They are classy defenders. Tonight really is not the time for griping posts like yours.

This is his 9th season with us. He's lost 2 of those seasons through serious injuries and yet has fought back to be a generally reliable squad member. If anyone has given this club value over the years, he has.
Our support has been outstanding this season, but some of our fans, sadly, are still brainless twits.

So so proud of these boys! To think we've just beaten Bournemouth who were unbeaten on the road and had only conceded ONE goal all season yet we hit 3 goals past em...and followed it up by managing to eke out a draw away from home against a team who had won seven on the bounce and scoring for fun...well it's scarcely believable. And these two teams are not just top..they are 7 or 8 points clear at the top.! The Rams should (and will) take massive confidence from these two matches..in fact we have played the top five and are unbeaten. There is nothing to fear in any of the remaining  fixtures..and if we can reduce that gap to around 10 by January 1st then I believe the impossible can actually happen. The Great Escape is on!
