Mel: OK Gibson what is your problem is it with me or is it Derby?
Gibson: I can assure you it is not with Derby.
Mel: So it must be with me?

Mel: What are you talking about?

Mel: Yes I used to own it, what has that got to do with this mater?

Mel: I can understand that as watching Boro is not much fun.
Gibson: Yes, but it is worse. I have been stuck on level 1230 for the last two years.
Mel: Are you paying to play?
Gibson: Yes I have spent millions and I am still stuck on level 1230.
Mel: Millions?
Gibson: Yes Millions of pounds.
Mel: It wouldn't be the same as the amount you are claiming from Derby would it?

Gibson hands Mel his phone and after 5 minutes Mel gives it back.

Mel: OK calm down.
Gibson: I am so happy I could hug you.
Mel: No need for that just drop the claim against Derby.
Gibson: OK but I still love you for getting me past that level. Wow I just completed 1231.

From the snippets I've heard in the press, it's taken some balls to come out and do this.
This tweet from Coleen is also great whilst sad she's felt had to make it.
Coleen has been widely criticised in the media for standing by him, accusations of in it for the money, which makes little sense when a divorce would ensure she would never have to work again, why a couples relationship is newsworthy or magazine worthy is beyond me.
It's why I chose not to be a footballer, I didn't want the intrusion that came with being a global superstar.

I'm going to post with my Football head on.......if we lose to Boro on Saturday, I don't think footballing wise it's that bad.....hear me out....there are fixtures you look at and you say we can win that, draw that, lose that, Boro are a good side, and doing well, so losing up there wouldn't be catastrophic and shouldn't knock the belief the players, management and fans have in our fight to stay up, we have other teams to play we should be more hopeful of beating.....the only disappointment I would feel is losing to them because of my total dislike of there chairman and the bragging rights there fans would have.....but I feel we would still have the last laugh....we will still stay up, and they will miss out on the playoffs, I don't care if it is Forest that beat them to the playoffs so long as Boro don't get in them, I haven't had such disdain for a club since QPR..........would be great to beat them Saturday and after last night we do have chance, I believe our group of players can achieve anything now......They Are Derby County And They Will Fight Till The End...COYR ???

He does not give a duck about Derby.....the City, it's fans, and especially the football club

As an aside to all this, an indication as to how a club can have a bearing on a persons mental health is this. My dad died suddenly on 31 Jan 22 and the first time I started to feel any cheer since his death was on Tuesday night watching Derby score 3 goals. It broke the malaise.

Don't think its a case of improvement, he's put his trust in these young players and they are repaying him tenfold.
