some of the personal remarks made about the female reporter who is just doing her job are frankly disappointing.  Some people need to get off their high horses.

They are not providing a service to the fans and are not answerable to us in anyway.
The service they are providing is for the creditors.
I think this is what many are failing to see.

The administrators promised preferred bidder before Xmas 
They have failed to deliver 

The optimistic posters, or even the realistic ones, haven't been too right in the last few years have they.
People might not like what he says, but he is far more likely to be right than most people on here.
I've read post after post from people stating we won't get points deductions, from people claiming to know accounting laws and God knows what else that had me thinking things would be OK.
Turns out things aren't OK and haven't been for years now ?

I would've been more surprised had we confirmed a preferred bidder today than not. 
It's good to see Appleby is still interested, but we will know for certain our situation in January as the transfer window will ultimately show our cards. 
I'm still not 100% convinced that the club isn't going to suffer liquidation. I'm not saying that it will, but I'd say my current confidence is 70/30 that we will have a team to support next year. If we get into January with no confirmed buyer, regardless of stage, then it would probably below half. Administrators to sell players to make sure they've got enough for their fee then shut up shop, maybe?

I'm not venting my spleen at the administrators as they are only at the football club at all because of one person but so far they've been really poor at managing expectations.
Cynically too the longer it drags on the greater their whack.

Looking at settlements for Boro and Wycombe as the legal process will take to long.

We should and will pay the HMRC what we owe them. Payment terms will obviously be negotiated, but we shouldn't be allowed to spend money on transfers until that debt is settled. It goes without saying IMO. I don't want the prospective owners or administrators to try and shy away from paying, what is essence public money, because we've been ran by a clown. 
If we aren't viable with the HMRC debt then we aren't viable... unfortunately, it's got to be that cut and dry. People with money know what a viable deal for Derby County looks like and we just have to see if that's going to be the case.
