Rample got a reaction from jimtastic56 in Curtis Davies - signed 1-year deal
The guy is an absolute inspiration.
Even his interview sound bites fill me with Pride.
I hope in some capacity he stays with us for a very long time.

Rample got a reaction from jimtastic56 in New Kits 22-23 Season
I really liked Derby's AC Milan-esque kit from about 1990 that was cancelled because fans thought there was too much red on it. The grey/black that replaced it was okay but not as good.

Rample got a reaction from jimtastic56 in Louis Sibley - make or break season?
Knight for £8m, Sibley for £1m.
Knight with 12 months on contract, Sibley with 2 years on his contract.
Got to be Knight that goes if it's a straight choice.

We paid £500k due to a release clause. We could have sold him at a profit even at 33.

Can't blame Davies for Rowett being a snake.
Looking at what Davies did last season it's fair to say he could have been a decent player the 18 months he was frozen out, and the wages wouldn't have been so much of an issue.
Also he literally took around about a million pound drop in wages last year to re-sign for us.
Can't say that players like Lawrence really got us anywhere. Signed aged 23 for £5m, should be a great example of resale but even before pubgate we would likely have knocked a few million off that. In the end add that to £8m or so in wages and Curtis isn't such a bad deal afterall.

Rample got a reaction from WarneOut in Tom Lawrence - Joined Rangers
DET says "Lawrence did not report back for training with Derby last week as the 28-year-old contemplates his next move. "
Don't know what our wage 'cap' is but without competition Sheff Utd could easily bring him in at around £15k. I'd be surprised if we could get as high as £10k. Whilst we might be persuasive I can't see us matching the lure of a smaller paycut and signing a deal with a team who could realistically be in the Premier League in 12 months.

No, pompey our Derby and we are their Villa.

Think that is wise, don't want to sign under Rosie as first choice but then find someone else comes in and you're on the fringes.
I think Liam is nailed on though. The reason he is interim is probably due to them still working on and agreeing a structure around the role.
Could see teams offering him more elsewhere and the work around is we offer him 2 years in whichever way, shape or form at lower weekly salary.

Rample got a reaction from Magicman in Louis Sibley - make or break season?
Every single side in league one and many in the championship would have Sibley in a heartbeat.
We have him and as such we need to a) develop him into the player he could be, and b) utilise him.
Give him the no. 10 role, give him regular starts and let him build up to full sharpness.
What we do with him dictates if we get £500k or £15m for him. Alright producing these players but we need someone to be able to take them to the next level.

Rample got a reaction from RammingStone66 in Curtis Davies - signed 1-year deal
I was genuinely thinking yesterday that with Roberts being added to the list of potential targets we were starting to look elsewhere or keeping Davies hanging to see if we could do better.
Early test of Clowes and Rosey here, if Davies is let go there will be uproar.
From interviews he sounds like he wants a playing contract this year but would be open to moving into coaching after. Give him a 2 year deal with the second as player/coach (he'd still be okay as emergency back up) and test him out.
Alternately move him over to Rams TV in 2023, he would do really well there.

His firm is, not sure if its Marco specifically - looks like Buchanan is pretty much their star client.

Rample reacted to Steve How Hard? in David McGoldrick - joined Notts County
If I lived in Nottingham then I wouldn't drive to Derby every day. I'd make the journey once and never go back. ?

I don't care if he is good or not, if Middlesbrough want him then please for the love of God, chuck our whole budget at it, just to pee Gibson off ?

Cashin signing is massive. Will go on to ply Premier League level for sure. Fantastic player, wears his heart on his sleeve and plays for the badge.

Whoever was still supposed to sign something today has had an issue with the document… changes required

Rample got a reaction from Fraser_23 in James Chester - Signed 1 year deal
It is so nice to be nearer to idle speculation than it is wrist slashing.
WIldsmith
Chester Davies Cashin
Byrne Thompson/Knight Bird Forsyth
Barkhuizen Hourihane/Sibley
CKR
At least its a starting point. Add 1 or 2 more and it could look pretty decent.
In a way Rosie gets to do a bit of shaping with so little on the board, can set us up as whatever he prefers - 442, 352, 4231, 433? and balance the squad accordingly.

Rample reacted to IslandExile in Pre season training 22/23
No one seems to be mentioning Eiran Cashin.
I believe he is out of contract but, AFAIK, has not been linked to anyone.
And no one on here is putting him alongside those we should sign up as quickly as possible.
To me he would be the first one that should be given the club pen and asked to sign above the dotted line.
EDIT: Then Thompson

Rample got a reaction from r_wilcockson in The Administration Thread
I would hope that with Morris out of the picture completely, and Clowes trying hard to do the right thing the FA might drop its vendetta against us and just give us a slap on the wrist over the wages issue. One thing for certain it wasn't any of the prospective owners fault.
The appropriate action (if any rules were breached) would be to go after Quantuma who were responsible for day to day management and financial control, Kirchner who was claiming ownership and supposedly funding us, and Stretford, although the other 2 parties should know if they were able to accept his money or not.
Would be pretty hillarious if those who have acted ridiculously over the past 9 months got their just desserts.
