Also in the Athletic article, it states Mel will use the funds from the sale to pay off the MSD loan against the club and himself plus Kirchner has agreed a tight business plan with the Evil EFL.
I may have added one word.

If the league table does not lie then surely it is Huddersfield that deserve to go up as they finished ahead of Forest?

There is no guarantee he could hold down a place in a team at a higher level at the moment. He'd be far better staying with us and getting regular game time whilst working his way back up to full strength.

Harry Maguire could be tempted to play on the level he belongs to?
If we tie up Davies and Cashin, he would be on the bench though.

Just spotted this from Ed this morning and don’t think it was shared. Sounds a bit more postive and that everything should be moving

Stretford's agency hasn't got anywhere near as many clients as Wasserman, but we have actually signed a couple on loan in the recent past (Baningime and Hepburn Murphy) and linked with others (Garner, Bachmann), so I wouldn't be surprised if we pick up a couple this summer. The most likely signings in my opinion would be:
Kaiyne Woolery - Left winger who had 30 goal involvements in 102 L2 games prior to moving to Motherwell in the summer. Useful squad option. Hasn't shown the best of form since moving up there and could be looking for a move back to England.
Harry Pickering - 23 year old left wing back who has been in and out of the Blackburn team this season after moving from Crewe in the summer. Very good option if we lose Buchanan.
Niall Ennis - Regular at CF for Plymouth in the 2nd half of the season and contract is expiring. Useful squad player in our weakest position.
There's also Butland and Gunn who would be fantastic (but unlikely) signings at L1 level if we were to lose Allsop and Roos.

This forum has actually been a support mechanism for many of us. Like you say, DCFC has been a part of our lives for years, and for some of us, decades. We've experienced highs. We've experienced lows. But we've always had the team there to support. We invest time, hard earned cash and emotional capital in the team. To have the threat of this all disappearing has been traumatic to say the least. So thank you to this forum's members for being there to talk things over, share experiences and to support each other. This is a wonderful football club with wonderful fans to match. We have a rich history that goes right back to the first professional league in this country. Let's now move forward and make this a defining period in Derby' history.
    Come on you Rams!!!

Bloody hell I do not want to go through this again. This has been detrimental to my marriage so I hope for my wife’s sake this gets done and we can start to move forward. I’ve also fallen short of the standards of a good father through this - all because of football. But as I told my wife yesterday, I’ve invested 30+ years of emotion and money (well my dad did until I was 16) in this football club. Beyond family and friends this club is my life, it’s even more important than some friends!!

Maybe over optimistic on the stadium given what we’ve been through. I can understand some skepticism but I don’t think this will be an issue, any transaction to do with the stadium was never going to be completed now so would always have to be a condition. He’s taking over funding. That’s massive.
I waivered slightly last night telling @StrawHillRamto duck off, thankfully he saw the funny side but I wanted to reserve comment until the day was done and didn’t go into meltdown like some although I went to bed thoroughly depressed and pissed off. Now I can say:
DUCKING GET IN!!!!!!!!!! YYYYYYYYOOOOOOOUUUUUUU RRRRRAAAAAMMMMSSSSS ??????????????????????????

On a separate note, whilst we're all full of bonhomie, let's just take a moment to salute Jake Daniels, a brave 17 year old young man, with a brilliant future in the game, who chose today to publically come out.
It shouldn't even be a thing in 2022… but Sir, I salute you.

Whatever happens in the future, we have spent many months staring into the abyss with very few parties willing to save us. So called ‘fans’ have chucked us aside and let us rot, where without intervention we would have died.
So whatever does happen, whether the next chapter of Derby County is successful or not, I will never forget the act of saving this Club that I love with all my heart. Hundreds of thousands of people love this Club as much as me, if not more, unfortunately none of us had the money to save us. A couple of sharks have circled trying to get their hands on a carcass, but we’ve only really had one realistic prospect of having a custodian with pride and admiration for what he is buying. And with the exchanging of contracts I hope for all our sakes that the storm clouds of the last however many months it is, are finally parting. We have finally (and hopefully) got our Club back.

Hobson s choice , ck sounds passionate about buying us but can’t or won’t pay what it costs to do it lock stock , ground and no further points deductions, Ashley obviously not making passionate noises and being clear he won’t pay the amount needed to buy us lock stock ( at least we know where we stand )
I would very much like there to be a derby county left to carry on supporting when all this is done but there is a very real threat that Morris has put the club beyond rescue financially and continues to do so but what do I or any of us fans matter whether old buggers like me lifelong or young ones just starting out on that journey with us as kids or grandkids tasting the atmosphere at games and listening to our memories of former glories and great times ,,,, football is broken , shame on Morris and not just him because football is infested with his type

While I don’t really care who buys us if it means having a club next season,  if it were to be MA, I’m not finding his (reported) approach particularly endearing.
I suppose what I’d really like is somebody who is passionate about being our owner and who will do whatever it takes to get us, get the stadium, pay the creditors (at least to the level that doesn’t get us another deduction) and shows signs of really wanting to get us moving in the right direction as quickly as possible.
Kirchner ticks most of those boxes.
The silence from Ashley and all of the conjecture about him waiting until we’re completely buggered, paying less, getting another 15 points taken away and so on leaves me feeling a bit nervous about the long term. Even without the protestations of football’s most entitled fans (the toon), this all seems a bit sterile and more about a cold business opportunity than a real desire to see us rise from the ashes.
Of course, it could all be speculation and the silence from anybody in the know about his offer - or lack thereof - might just be a sign of respect for the process and for Mr Kirchner (?).
Just wish I could be refreshing my browser every 10 mins to see if we’ve signed a new player, rather than this constantly depressing saga.
