We are surrounded by forest fires and yesterday we were told to evacuate our home on Alhaurine Golf,back home now having been told it was safe to do so,but yesterday it was big,big,big,3300 people have been evacuated from Alhaurine el Grande and El Torre,estimate forrest destroyed at 5000 hectares.Helicopters are taking water from the lakes on our golf course,every 6 minuites one drops its bucket,and yesterday we went to my partners rented villa overlooking the mediteranean,where we could see those big yellow fire planes scooping sea water.I think they are using fire retardant chemical now.
So all in all a day of fear,but nice to be home with my computer on seeing that we won our second friendly.

Pootling along the Normandy coastline yesterday on our bikes, and for a brief moment, thought CK was on his way to Blighty with sacks of cash! ?
Turns out it was a swarm of US Airforce bombers doing a (presumably) practice run for the upcoming D Day events. 
Very low and literally over head!  Brought a lump to the throat, if truth be told. So many reminders of so much heroism in these parts!  Obvs!  (Our first time to this area). 
Got a great front line video, for the holiday album (not that I’m a plane geek or owt!)  Don’t know how to put it in here!Hi

We’ll leave the main 6th June party to the masses though, as we up sticks and head for rural Brittany later this morning. 
 
Having a wonderful holiday so far… thanks to all those who fought and died to allow us such luxuries!

French Sports Minister claimed today that btween 30,000 and 40,000 Liverpool fans turned up without a valid ticket,does this mean forged tickets,if so the true fans who had valid tickets but still couldnt gain entry to the Stad de France have only their fellow scousers to blaim

Let's face it, if the first penalty shout had been given against us we'd have been rightly miffed but with VAR available, not to give the second was criminal - as far as Huddersfield were concerned the officiating was a major let down. You can blame Jon Moss for being weak in the face of the pressure but even more responsibility for the injustice lies with the VAR official Paul Tierney. That guy is a clown!.

Still not sure whether VAR was used today and if it was, who was making the decisions? I’m sure there was two clear cut penalties. All I can say is if Derby played Huddersfield then Huddersfield would have had a penalty.
