I think he's making it hard for us to win by playing too defensively,  look at the Bournemouth game and today, try playing tooo much keep ball in the 1st half of both and we invite the opposition into our half and let them know we pose no threat, this leads to increased risk of errors and I'm not with the 'we have no options' brigade.
We played 5 defenders today and 5 midfielders where only 1 is a real attacking threat, and in those,we play players out of position. Knight on the left? He looks limited but more comfortable on the right because of his energy and it's his natural foot.
The comments about Jozwiak and Sibley being poor this season,  how many times have they been played in their best position 'with' the correct support around them?
Pick the best player available in the position they play, and if that means Plange up front because Stretton is injured and CKR isn't fully fit then so be it, if he wants Festy in the team and wants the width to come from the full backs, play a 5 so the midfielders can play midfield instead of pseudo full backs and keep getting caught out of position!
I feel he's too stubborn on a system which we don't have the right players available,  his set up needs two quick ball playing CH's and lightning quick strong FB's, 2 Bieliks available for midfield and a world beater up top as they never have any support.
I honestly believe we are better than the results,  trust the kids, play them in the right position and tell them to pass the bloody ball forwards instead of incessantly back!

Much of what our management team does is mystifying. What’s the plan with the goalkeepers? Why is Lawrence captain? Why are youngsters so often played out of position ? Why do we pick defensive midfielders when we have little fluidity up front and we need wins? Why are our set plays repeatedly rubbish? Why do we so often give up a lead?

How often do we see our management team influence things on the pitch to change a game around ? (Yesterday’s subs were decent, but apart from that ...?)
no. This is not a strong championship and our squad should be well ahead of where they are on points.

I think your 1st point about Bournemouth further supports my comments back on page 2, the squad have it in them but we were 2nd best in 1st half v Bournemouth as we were yesterday,  and he had to change it, mindset and/or personnel in 2nd half, it worked against Bournemouth but not yesterday,  so I think he can be doing better, especially against the likes of Bristol, get everyone to watch the change in mentality between halves in that game and actually start on the front foot, with options on the pitch instead of 1 creative player in starting 11.
I know what you are saying about opportunistic because of who started the thread, but it doesn't mean it isn't a valid point. There are plenty of reasonable posters that have said they think he's coping well within difficult circumstances, but we should have more points on the board, so he should be doing better.
Off the pitch, I think he's shown to be a real leader with understanding and depth which belies the perception so many have of him, I will always be appreciative of how he's keeping the club viable during this time.

Thought Jozwiak was right sided..... sure that's where he plays for Poland. Lawrence is the one that we've played more on the left but again I thought his best season (at Ipswich) came from playing on the right or central.... could be wrong on that though as i wasn't paying much attention of him then

My opinion, I wouldn't waste my time on him in that role, play Lawrence there with a striker, or Sibley, we saw Ravel do again today what he's done several times when he does have the ball in the no 10 position when he passed straight to their defender when it was 1 nil, could have carried the ball or actually pass it to Lawrence which was his intention. Just not good enough, doesn't work hard enough and slows the game too much, we need high energy players on the pitch to make up for lack of overall attacking quality, which is why Knight and Ebosele look much better options than Ravel
