To be fair I wouldn't settle with these parasite for £7 m even if I had that money. What for?

Gibson demanded to be told details of how much money was proposed to go to creditors including HMRC in the statement put out by Boro (which is absolutely none of his business). Now the EFL want all main creditors and HMRC in a room with Boro to divvy up any money that’s available….
Those of a suspicious and cynical outlook may wonder if there has been an element of collusion between the two parties……

Has this been mentioned? Ryan Bourne says on Twitter he’s written to the EFL. This sums it up perfectly.

Off to Udinese on a free instead of Watford paying us compensation. Presumably end up back there within 6 months.
    And we’re the problem?

The EFL, Boro & Wycombe have set it on fire.

We talk about Boro a lot - rightly so.
But Wycombe..... If they have a claim at all (which they don't), then surely it's against the EFL and not us. The EFL choose when to apply, or not apply, the points deduction.

    I’ve emailed…..
investigation into the EFL and it’s dealings with regard to DCFC :
    1. Efl approve the stadium sale then subsequently charge DCFC
    2. Efl approve amortisation method, sign off two years accounts then subsequently charge DCFC in response to MFC threats to sue EFL.
    3. MFC drop their threat to sue the EFL
    4. EFL lose case against DCFC. Nb accountant on the panel
    5. EFL appeal and appoint a new panel with no accountant.
    6. EFL win case
    7. DCFC have no right of appeal
    8. DCFC go into administration.
    9. Middlesbrough and Wycombe announce intention to claim against DCFC.
    20. Such “claims” prevent DCFC exiting admin.
    21. After 4 months of delaying the EFL finally decide the “claims” have to be settled by DCFC. Interesting this eventual decision, comes days after the transfer window has closed and maximum disruption to DCFC.
    22. How can an unsubstantiated “claim” by other clubs be deemed as a bona fide creditor, and a football creditor that takes precedence over other creditors even HMRC.
    23. EFL rules preclude claims between member clubs.
    24. As for the claims, if you look into the detail, you will see they are pure fantasy and clearly just a chance to make money, or more sinister and an attempt to actually put DCFC into liquidation. And apparently aided and abetted by the EFL
    Thank you for your time.
    Regards

Well this is it. The start of the last round of the fight for our survival. The gloves are well and truly off now. EFL have drawn their line in the sand. For Quantuma the only option is to somehow make sure we’ve got enough in the pot to survive the season (maybe this is why they sold Kellyman because the game has clearly changed) and get this through the High Court ASAP. In the meantime MPs Team Derby some of our friends in the media (Colin Murray), our celebrity fans, and the fans protesting, spamming all social media platforms to further bring to everyone’s attention what a spiteful shameless and shambolic organisation the EFL is.
The administrators have come in for a lot of criticism understandably, but tonight’s EFL statement has shown exactly what they are up against.

This now a race against time and it’s all about cash. Whether or not we have enough funding to come out of this triumphant with a bloody nose or we get beaten to death.
We’ll fight to the end! ??????

Until it is proven that DCFC owe Boro and Wycombe money, they are NOT creditors. The decision has not yet been reached, so if the case is ever presided over in a tribunal or civil court, it is a future event.

This situation is just completely maddening, it’s the first thing I think about, it’s the last thing I think about, and it’s there the whole time in between for good measure. I’m sure I’m only one of many people feeling this way.
I saw this tweet and thought it was interesting and a good idea.
I’ve looked myself on street view, there’s actually 2 billboards (if they’re still there) and they both face EFL House one says ‘ClearChannel’ one says ‘primesight’.
I think tomorrow one thing we could do is look to find out how much it would cost to advertise on them both and crowdfund it? Make it crystal clear we’re not going away quietly and they can’t ignore us as it’s right in front of them.

Precisely so draw him out publicly.
Option A: State what we already know, absolutely and unequivocally: Our bidders are prepared to settle a % of the debts of club and take us out of admin but not prepared to entertain paying a penny to Boro and Wycombe. So they pursue their claim in court knowing if they win we have no preferred bidder and we are liquidated. They get no money.
Option B: They pursue their claim in court and they lose. They get no money.
Put it to Gibson that these are the options, in full view of the media. So we'll then know what his game is when the money is well and truly off the table.

Before I sign off the night and listen to the missus woes from work, just going to say this, don’t be angry at the EFL’s statement tonight, it’s a positive one for us and it clearly states their position which allows us to move forward with a high court judgment.
Whilst we might disagree on the side they fell into, it wasn’t totally unexpected and we’ve been desperate for them to come down off the fence for a while now, this is better than to continue stalling.
Quantuma have what they need now, the EFL’s position and proof of funds to see us through the next couple of months, time for court.

One of the most outrageous bits (and there are many)is how they just blindly assume that the claims are valid. No discussion on how the actual cases themselves should be decided. The EFL want to bypass consideration of the validity of the claims and force us into settling. Surely the claims themselves should be decided first. Then if no success there is no argument. Its absolutely absurd to force acknowledgement that a undecided claim should be treated as an actual debt. This statement shows their real colours. Even Nixon appears totally bewildered.

They request the attendance now of the "highest bidder(s)". This admits that a preferred bidder is not possible with the claims hanging over us which they previously said was not the case. What authority do they have to summon a potential bidder?

did they have a lot to drink during the meeting?

The good news with Wycombe is, given the masterful grasp of dates and times that Couhig has shown in his interviews and press statements, the odds of him actually turning up to any meetings on the right day are basically zero.

I'd now back a public statement saying the club will take them to court with the expectation of either defeating the claims in full or, if we lose, going into liquidation with us having no intention of paying a penny. Up the ante.
Then we'll see Gibson and co. for what they really are. They'd have to take us to court knowing they'll either win and liquidate us (something he claims he doesn't want to do) or lose and get nothing.
Play it out in the media.

What another mess of an EFL statement
what does it say - it says the administrators can go to  arbitration or go to high court - Go to high court please and quickly
EfL are saying they will kick us out of the league if don’t comply with paying the parasites by means of a legal administration procedure kick us out then
The EFL are at last trying to organise a meeting between stakeholders (some who are not in administration?) I assume that’s because the politicians are asking why aren’t the EFL doing anything to resolve anything.
Middlesbrough apparently started a claim last January whilst no date given for Wycombe (inconsistent)
it’s taken the EFL until the 3rd of February 2022 to ask for a meeting to take place - absolutely abysmal leadership

When we survive this (fingers crossed!) we need to have an anti EFL presence at every game from now on.
As for Boro away, chants are not enough. Throw tennis balls on the pitch, don’t buy anything in the stadium, try and make enough of a statement during the day.

I am going to stay off here for a few hours. I have had a drink or too. Fwiw, after consuming a bottle of wine, I don’t think this statement is a great problem. The EFL has unequivocally nailed their colours to the door. Imo they are letting the world know, well Q, the Government and HMRC specifically, that their rules are more important than Statute. I can’t see how this is a battle they can win. Perhaps they know that too, but have as I thought they were a few weeks, backed themselves so far into a corner that they can’t escape (despite their mealy mouthed comments regarding facilitating a meeting to bring all parties together). Whilst I am not going to excuse Q from not informing Rooney properly regarding the sale of Kellyman, l do now think his sale is behind getting enough funds together to fight this matter in the High Court.
I look forward to reading other views much later this evening.
