Totally understand where you're coming from, David.
It's sad that the people most reluctant to take on these roles are often the ones who'd do them very well.
There are no pros, just plenty of cons in my view anyway.
Having been there in what appears to be a similar role, it’s a thankless task.
Can I ask though, what exactly is the difference between being on the supporters board and the supporters charter group?
If it’s simply someone that’s independent from a fan group, how do they gauge the views from the wider fanbase?

In all seriousness I guessed that would be the case mate, hence my little jape
… but I still would have liked to have seen the look on your face though, when I tagged you in! 😉🤣👍
Ha, it was a face of I’d rather massage my dangly bits with nettles every morning than take that on.

Just to be clear, and to avoid any more nominations sarcastic or not. I have absolutely no interest in the role.
None whatsoever. Zero. Zilch.
Whoever takes it on, good luck, be prepared for all kinds of abuse and repeatedly told “you don’t represent me”.
I’ll just stay over here in this little corner of the internet and keep this place online for you all. I’m happy doing that.

New trend developing?

There seems to be 2 different aspects to this never ending debate.
One of them is "Has Twitter is becoming a hopeless platform to use since Musk has took over?"
The other one is "Is Musk a champion of free speech or a vile moron actively encouraging and amplifying conspiracy theories and extreme points of view."
I think @David has made a few posts on the first point, whilst deliberatley calling out it's nothing to do with the second.
Is there anyone who does believe Musk is a legend for his free speech crusade, but also thinks he has turned Twitter into a bit of mess?
Conversely, does anyone depise Musk but think his new and improved Twitter is amazing from a functional perspective?
You have
a) People like myself that are simply annoyed by Twitter changes (excluding free speech)
b) Musk fans, that will argue he can do no wrong.
And last but not least
c) Left v Right. Left being accused of trying to rid the internet of any opposing views, hailing Musk as a hero. Right being accused of vile behaviour that has no place in society.
Search out the old politics threads, it’s the same opposition. Exactly the same.
It’s impossible to have any discussion within this board now with the same old battle lines being drawn.
We‘re up to 23 pages on a business rebrand topic, yet 90% isn’t about X, it’s Elon, Tesla, Crypto and the free speech argument.

I would’ve actually quite liked gimps (autocorrect, but I’m going to keep it in) to win that one. The extra distraction would just hurt them.
Nah.
Extra time would have been nice though.

FWIW my Twitter alter ego did get the referee replaced for Barnsley vs Derby this weekend. Amazing to see the power of one post on social media:
168,000 views as I post it here.
We would have won had Madley reffed the game.
Won 5, lost 4 and drew 1 with him in charge, what did you do that for 😂

My birthday on Monday, so if anyone wants to buy me one as well, that would be a lovely present. Thanks in advance.

Knowing I am more than double his age makes me feel old.
Explains why you can afford all these away games though, pensioner specials! 😂

Wanna feel old? Hendrick is now 32.

Her account was restored, however no comment on this at all from Elon. Unsurprising.

I put that list together based on a couple of factors ....
1. Free agent strikers in the summer
2. Potential free agents so zero transfer fee
3. Under 30 years old because in my opinion, if we are promoted, having players 32 years and older in the Championship will not be good enough.
4. Of the calibre required in the championship
5. We will have several strikers who's contracts I definitely wouldn't renew in the Sumner, so we will need new strikers.
6. The strikers needs to have scored at least 7 goals in a season
Mbappe fits your criteria.

Am I right in saying it was submitted to the EFL on Friday, and it's only Monday dinner time now?
I don't think the EFL's refusal to open the offices over the weekend to go through paperwork is something we should be taking personally.
When you spend your weekend on forums and social media, I can see how it feels like a long time, but in reality it's not.
If we get to midweek and nothing, then yeah, start to question why the hold up, until then, just relax.
I wouldn't be surprised if he's at Moor Farm today with the rest of the players, integrating himself, how often do we see pictures of new signings that have been training all day prior to announcements.
