Their Whoscored best player against Accrington was their 196cm giant of a CB who won 13 aerials.
Fraser (LCM), Leaburn (sub RW) and Jaiyesimi (RW) were their next best players.
Only two players I recognise from their team vs Accrington. Fraser, and Sessegnon. Sessegnon being one of their worst performers, so expect Mendez-Laing to have a lot of fun down that side.
For a side who claim to be a possession based side, their passing is pretty poor. Only 3 players achieved greater than 80% success rate (two of those were on the field for a combined 16 minutes), whilst 6 had lower than 65%.
For comparison, we had 6 players above 80% (5 played the full game and Smith 60 mins), whilst only Roberts was below 70%.

Terms would have been similar to Robertson. U21s to start, with a view to breaking through to the first team.
Most likely chose Kilmarnock to guarantee first team football.

The point is, we aren't asking out fullbacks to do that.  Roberts basically played in central midfield alongside Bird on Saturday.  Knight was bit more of an orthodox fullback, getting forward and linking up with NML, but he still tucked in at times as well.  We need intelligent players who can pass, more than guys that will just run up and down the flanks all game.

Between you and me ?, I'm not really overly eco!  (Am I a bad man?)
It was the principle of it.  Pay for 10 gadgets, get 8!  It niggled me!
In all honesty, the auto stop/start in my previous car (VW Sharan) annoyed the hell out of me, and I always deactivated it... but that was because it worked in tandem with an auto electronic parking brake (hand brake in old money).  Trying to creep a heavy (AUTO) car forward 2.5 inches to get a better view at a T junction, all whilst having to hit the accelerator (required to re-start the engine AND disengage the parking brake) is not a delicate operation!
At least with my current car (Ford Galaxy) the parking brake, whilst still electronic, is not automatic.  So to creep forward is just a matter of taking the foot off the brake (Which re-starts the engine, and immediately allows the car to creep forward on it's own, auto-stylee, without the need to touch the accelerator).
Much more gentle.  Much more delicate.
Early days yet, but I suspect I won't be deactivating the stop/start on this one... regardless of how many polar bears it may or may not save.

If Derby come and try and out football us and try and win, we will probably win.  If they come for a point and s******** us they will probably get all 3. Think we'll play some nice stuff in the first half again but lose our way and ultimately lack the edge required to get anything from the game.  Just hope we don't have too much negativity in the crowd towards the passing game and slow build up

Yes, but we used 442 more often than not? Howard, Peschisolido, Macken and Stead options upfront, with others on the wing, wasn't it?
The squad (excluding players with just a few apps excluded) looked something like this:
    Keepers: Bywater, Grant
Defenders: Moore, Johnson, Edworthy, Leacock, Camara, Jackson.
                        1st half only: Boertien
                        2nd half only: Mears, McEveley
    Midfielders: Oakley, Jones, Johnson, Malcolm
                        1st half only: Bolder
    Wingers: Barnes, Lupoli, Bisgaard, Smith
2nd half only: Fagan, Teale, Currie, Pearson
    Forwards: Howard, Peschisolido
                        1st half only: Stead
                        2nd half only: Macken
4 players for two CF positions, with other filling in.
When playing 1 up top (which we will continue to do this season), you're looking at 2 CFs, 3 if you're greedy, with others filling in if needed. Since McGoldrick will also play in a AM/SS role, we'll be going in to the season with Collins, McGoldrick and one other. The likes of Barkhuizen and Dobbin chipping in if needed.

Gregory was 20/21. Baldock was the first half of the season, and was injured for half of that. Kazim was injured for half of last season.
1st half of 21/22: Baldock, Kazim, Stretton
2nd half of 21/22: Plange, Kazim

I think they did some research on stop/start, which showed it's only beneficial if you've stopped for at least 7 seconds.

    Only 1 really.
He was a youngster being eased into the team under Cocu, scoring 5 and assisting 2 in 11 Championship games once introduced in 19/20.
We started 20/21 with a weakened squad and a disinterested Rooney. We weren't doing very well, so Cocu started mixing formations and personnel, potential some influence from the coaching team on who to play... Cocu left and Rooney came in.
Under Rooney, Sibley wasn't allowed a bad game and would be hauled off and dropped for several games. Others were allowed to play through bad form.
Now we're on to Rosenior. 1 game in and despite beefing up the squad, still trusted Sibley to come on and make an impact.
