Good play from Mendez-Laing and Elder. Elder arguably our best player in thr opening 30 minutes

Challenge on Hourihane's ankle wasn't even a foul. Should have been a yellow, possibly red

You see all their players look at the ref when that tackle was made. Says a lot.

Good break. Barkhuizen couldn't find the right ball for Collins.
Another cross from Barkhuizen to Collins - this time a bit high

The administrators report confirmed it was exactly £6,264,636.50 paid to HMRC (25%).
    MSD loan was £22m.
Football creditors totalled £8.85m, but I understand this would have been later reduced to about £7.5m (Lech accepting less for Jozwiak). This had to be paid in full.
There was £3.1m of unsecured creditors. A minimum of 25% had to be paid, so just shy of £800k (bur could be anything up to an including the full amount)

My total is £36.6m (if minimum paid to unsecured creditors). Note, Clowes accounts state an extraordinary cost (purchase of DCFC) OF £36.6m.

I’m in. The universe is definitely telling me to go. Even the nice lady in the car park let me in without having to pay for parking. The universe wants me here for a reason. Hopefully ti witness something spectacular.
im not sure if my wife wants me here though. I’ve got radio silence from her. I’m not sure what reception I’m going to get when I rock up at 1am.

Not necessarily aiming at this at you, but people do struggle to rate how good chances are.  When you look at actual real-life conversion rates of some types of shots, they are often wildly different to what people think.  One-on-ones are an obvious example, because people seem to think they should almost all be scored, but the actual conversion rate is something closer to 20% if my memory is correct.  And that’s something that xG is supposed to capture, and I suspect it’s part of the reason why xG stats don’t always measure up to people’s recollection of the game.
Having watched the highlights back again, their chances were all from wide angles, the attacker was under pressure from a defender in almost all of them, one was so from wide it was almost on the goal line, and one was taken from almost the edge of the box.  All of which count against the quality of the chances.  So the truth is, while the situations looked really bad (with Cashin getting done for pace etc), they actually didn’t result in very easy chances (in most part because Cashin was able to stay on his feet and influence the game).
And that’s another reason why stats are interesting alongside watching the game.  Most of the time they are going to more or less back up what you see with your eyes (and if they never did this, they’re probably useless stats).  But sometimes they don’t match up, and that’s when you can have a deeper dig and see if anything was actually going on that you didn’t notice first time (and likewise, if stats didn’t do this sometimes, they’re also useless stats because they don’t tell you anything you don’t already know).

Exactly... those companies are not 'The Club'.
You'll probably find it was all equity. Shareholders are only paid if there is money leftover after paying unsecured creditors and in most cases (including ours) those shares are considered worthless.
Going back to Maguire's comment: "the club owed Mel in excess £200m but he claimed nothing". The club didn't owe him money, and he wasn't entitled to any money as there was never going to be any money left after paying all the creditors anyway.

Another factor may be a maximum of 3 year contracts under the EFL agreed business plan. That in essence means a 2.5 year contract in January. By structuring the signing the way we have, we have tied Blackett-Taylor down for 3.5 years instead.

If signed on a 3 year deal for £300k, £100k would be amortised per year. However, if we paid a £300k loan fee and signed him in the summer, we would take the full £300k hit this season, allowing us to spend more in future seasons.

It's OK to admit you're wrong. Maguire made a comment which was 100% incorrect. That's what is being debated here.

Gate receipts and sponsorship each £1m down on my original estimates, with 'other' £0.5m down. TV £0.5m up, hospitality about £200k up. Overall income is c£1.8m lower than expected, altough it is over a 9 month period rather than 12.
I can't accurately say what our wage bill was, but based on previous Clowes' Development wage bill, our club wages were about £10.25m, with £1.25m in pensions amd social security. This would match my original estimate. However, a 12 month period would mean I underestimated by quite a bit.
It looks like our total other expenses were about £10.5m, and we made a transfer profit of just under £1.5m, which results in the £6.8m loss.
