Moulin Rouge! (2001)
The most irritating, camp, hammed up pile of crap I've ever witnessed.
Struggling to think of a film I've disliked more. Made me genuinely angry whilst watching it. Jim Broadbent has to be the most punchable man ever recorded on film.
No single Rams player has ever been so bad so I'm giving it a 4-1 home defeat to Scunthorpe under Non-league Nigel out of ten.
Bang on. I thought I was the only person that really hated it. Thanks.

That is the worst case scenario. I truly hope something better happens.
No. Worse would be that current players disappear at the end of their contracts and the club gets nothing.

How do they justify seizing his assets!? Pretty sure he left Russia and lived in England then Israel to be nothing to do with Putin. Where do they draw the line? Does my Russian mate Dimitri need to worry about his building/maintenance business in Lichfield?
He still makes duck loads of money out of assets given to him by the Russian state. Hard to imagine he would be allowed to continue that if he was anti-Putin.

The bbc saying broadcasters can show any Chelsea game. Presumeably for free?
So Sky, BT and Amazon can profit from the games but none of that money can go to Chelsea.
I think I've decided to be amused by this.

It was incredibly depressing hearing Chelsea fans chant Abramovich's name the other day. Integrity and morals are non-existent in football today. As long as your team is winning and your owner has a lot of money he's a hero and nothing else matters. Where the money comes from doesn't matter.
The morally correct thing would be for all Chelsea fans to refuse to support their team in any way until they have a new owner (they won't). All broadcasters, Sky, BBC etc. should refuse to show any Chelsea games (they haven't), and Sky continue to make money off showing their games, and no one is criticising them for doing this. All Chelsea players should refuse to play or get their dirty money wages (obviously they won't).
Yet Sky, Chelsea fans/players continue with the empty gestures, like holding up a Ukrainian flag before games, then everyone feels better about themselves and just continue on.
I imagine that now the assets have been frozen, they can't acquire money through TV, so in effect can't be on the telly.

I like Mount reminding the Leeds fans of the score.
I remember Gazza, playing for Newcastle at the BBG, doing something similar moments before he was sent off.
I always liked Malone's utterly convincing, 'I got the ball' plea.

Thanks to all involved. A true work of art! Bravo. ??(... and I can't wait to see how it ends! ?)
My guess is that Man City don't buy Rodney Marsh and so romp away with the title.

Part of the Australian team when I started watching cricket along with Lillee, Thompson, the Chappells et al.
If you have time, look up the video of the notorious underarm delivery against New Zealand, with Marsh behind the stumps going, 'No mate' in disgust.

a little bit like them, yes. Only he is much more important than either of them and the captain.

If there was a 40 mile convoy coming up the Old Kent Road and all we were able to do was hand guns to anyone willing to pick one up I might have done, and I think others would have done as well. The likes of people being asked to defend Ukraine make Pike and Manwaring look like Judge Dread and Captain America - all it will bring is bloodshed in the name of what? I don't say Ukraine has to accept being part of Russia forever, but I do say grand heroics in the name of valour is not the answer - play the long game, painful though that might be for the next few years.
Again, and call me a Putin apologist if you feel that it helps but I don't think comparision with Hitler are really valid. Putin is nationalist / expansionist but he isn't a genocidal lunatic. There is no final solution or the like on the table here. For Ukranians he is the devil, and that is the least they could be expected to call him, but he is not planning gulags, death camps and gas chambers.
It isn't a comparison between Hitler and Putin - it was between Churchill and Zelensky. Both knew they were speaking not only to their present generations but to future ones too. Meekly (or even pragmatically) surrendering now could doom generations of their citizens to tyranny. Going down fighting might inspire future generations.

The club has virtually no assets. It has the name and the golden share and some players. Most of those player will, as things stand, be leaving in the summer, stripping the club of most of the assets it has left.
The club is all but worthless.
