"I am going to give you a terrible answer, no and yes," Couhig said. "No in the sense that we have arrived at an economic money settlement that was conditional on how much their assets ultimately got sold for.And it had a minimum payment in it. We received that money two days after they closed on their deal. The reason I can't tell you whether we will get more or not is because I don't know what they ultimately sold for, because the agreement that we had with the administrators was for anything less than $30 million for Derby and its affiliates.
The issue the lawyers can't give me a good answer on is 'does the stadium sale count as a sale of the affiliates' since it wasn't in the bankruptcy or administration. We are making our economic plans with the assumption that the money we got...and I cannot tell you the amount, but I can tell you it was well worth the money we spent to go get it. It did some good work - I can't give you the answer on what our next step is until we push the lawyers a little bit further."
Utter scumbag. Only got away with it by basically knowing that Quantuma had no time nor desire to 'see Wycombe in court/arbitration'!!!

He is a yank, which basically translates into cnut. WW are a nothing club and always will be. They should stick to making baskets and leave the football to the proper clubs in L1 (all the other clubs bar them). Hell if they are lucky they might be able to sell some of their shiiiiite wicker baskets to the good old U.S of A. ? Parasites the lot of em.

Looks like a deal with the administrators and not DC - shameful and shocking in my mind but they didn’t care did they?
if goodwill is a thing in football then the chairman of Wycombe wanderers deserves nothing but a mountain of Ill will from many and misfortune in abundance

How can WW take any action against the club, the old legal entity that was Derby ended when DC took over and a new legal entity was formed. We know this as it was the basis of Buchanan and Byrnes dispute with the club also Companies House shows the new legal entity.

I don’t understand how this can be allowed. Surely it needs to be looked into. But I’m sure it will be overlooked. ?? it makes my pi$$ boil.

FFS. The fact they are walking away with anything is galling. I think the EFL and Quantuma are getting too easy a ride of us at the moment. Sheer incompetence and manipulation which due to Clowes’ brilliant act we are letting slide too easily. What a bunch of parasitic ambulance chasers this lot are. If they think I am putting my car in their oversized car park they can think again. Wycombe and Boro will never be forgotten for wanting to finish us in my eyes.

Also, if we do owe then them anything, how can the amount be dependent on how much the club was sold for? If they’ve be wronged and deserve compensation the amount due shouldn’t matter whether the club was sold for £1m or £100m. What difference does it make to Wycombe? Makes absolutely no sense. Also, what the heck is “an ECONOMIC financial settlement”?

How the f... can we owe them anything at all. The EFL not going to stand up to chancers like this are they!

I'm not worried, I'm just annoyed that having to pay them anything allows them to sustain the fantasy that they were wronged in some way. In the meantime, Watford and Forest's owners sail merrily on gaming FFP by selling players to themselves at inflated prices and the EFL does SFA about it. I think the best way of shutting that scam down would be for another member of the Clowes family to buy a smaller club in the EU and use it to shift money and playing assets around. That should ensure the loophole is closed pdq.

    Agreed, he had a dreadful record in his three full seasons at Celtic;
    16/17 - 25 goals and 10 assists in 50 games.
    17/18 - 18 goals and 17 assists in 55 games.
    18/19 - 17 goals and 6 assists in 55 games.
Overall - 60 goals and 33 assists in 160 games - 93 goal contribution in 3 seasons is dreadful.

Just seen the brief highlights on the Sky report, it seems to show that this game was more down to bad luck and heroic defending than poor finishing. Their keeper and defenders made some great saves/blocks, just one of those could have easily finished up in the back of the net.

I don’t agree with it but true - in modern day football the captain talks the ref through the game and puts him under pressure. Bird has to learn fast.

I know we created a lot with Sibley not on the pitch, but I don't think it's a coincidence we've only scored league goals this season with him on the field, despite him only starting one in 5.
His movement and willingness to attack creates space for others.
He's also one of our own. I'd like to see him get a decent run.

There aren't half some bedwetters on this forum, talk about being melodramatic.
Two months ago we had basically no players, now we're absolutely dominating teams, having 20+ shots every match against teams that come out specifically looking to defend first and attack second.
Have a bit of patience - Rome wasn't built in a day. All that's needed are tweaks to the system. It's not like we're creating zero chances and struggling to get hold of the ball.
We're already vastly improved on last year where we struggled a lot, especially away from home. If we keep this dominance up over the course of the season I'm sure we'll be at the right end of the table.

It’s his first taste of proper blokes first team football. Seem to recall it taking Malcolm Ebiowei a couple of games to feel himself round. You’ll just get glimpses. And aslong as we keep getting a few of those in the next few games, he’ll be sound.  Patience

Just when I thought I couldn’t love him any more…
We were getting the train back from the Commonwealths last night and the train stopped at New St. My son was sitting facing the door, wearing a Derby training top.  This guy walked past George and patted him on the shoulder and said hi, then sat on the seats behind. I whispered who was that? and it was only Curtis bloody Davies.
So I popped my head round to ask if I could say hello (he’d signed a shirt for George recently and I wanted to say thanks) and he was unbelievably friendly. It’s 25 minutes back to Sutton and we chatted the whole way. I backed off and sat down initially as he was with his daughter, but he was leaning over the seats and really happy to talk.
I can’t remember everything we talked about (I was a bit giddy!) but he said Netflix should have done a documentary on us and listed all the dramas since he’s been at the club. One thing I didn’t know it had forgotten is 8 or 9 people got food poisoning in America on the pre-season when Cocu joined. Apparently the food was inedible and they were ordering McDonalds on Uber Eats.
He seemed put out that the existing players’ deals were last to be sorted out. His words were that the club sorted out the new signings and there was this much left over for us. Didn’t seem salty though and said other clubs wanted to talk to him but he always wanted to stay, so made excuses to avoid speaking to them. He would like a final year at Orient though.
Interestingly he hopes DC will appoint football people for football roles, rather than finance people. I asked if he meant Steven Pearce and he did, doesn’t seem happy that he’s still there.
There was loads more, I might post again if I remember anything interesting. But I was blown away how friendly he was, he’s a lovely man and I’m pretty sure we’re now best friends. I’m definitely going to invite him to my birthday party!

    What a disappointing post.
We're 7th after 4 games. Won 2, drawn 1, lost 1 with 13/14 new players. Thats a decent start. We're through in the Cup.
Sorry he's not nailed the team selection and tactics spot on after 4 league games.
I despair at fan comments like this.
How about judging after 20 games have passed, not after 4 games.
