Don't think its quite as simple as 'just give it to [insert name here]', though it does need sorting. 

I remember saying to Mel in person many times, ‘Oi Mellard! You better not be over spending now because I wouldn’t want to considered complicit when an owner of a   club who got relegated the season before, decides to sue us because we couldn’t submit our accounts with the EFL that season’
Then we’d laugh a little bit and Mel would dryly respond ‘It’s more likely you’d see Derby County be nearly liquidated than THAT scenario’

Met him a couple of times and seemed to be very much a Derby fan to me. Not sure I care too much though if he’s prepared to stump up a few million to get us out of the mess (even temporarily!). 

I deliberately didn't use the phrase 'entitled' because I knew it would cause people to get emotive - but the reason we don't have a right to know anything is that the vast majority don't have any (to coin a phrase) skin in the game. At the end of the day we're just customers of the club - however deeply we care (and however much we want to know what's going on), we're not on the list of creditors so don't have a right to know anything.....

Cloughie Sr. would have loved Will Hughes. He certainly wouldn't have had him playing as a defensive midfielder. He'd have put someone alongside him to win the ball and then tell that player to give it to Will.
Even after his ACL injury, he'd have been the first name on the team-sheet for me. I'm not sure how it was possible to "over-rate" him as a Derby player. The fact that every opposition supporter hated him and every opposition team tried to kick him off the park told its own story. I loved watching him play, and I loved the fact that he came through our own ranks. 
I don't think signing for Watford, with their revolving-door policy for managers, did him any favours. He's only 26 and I'm hoping that his best years lie ahead of him. 

Why is wanting to see a player do well from our academy embarrassing? 
I would say it's fairly normal football fan behaviour.

The problem with Will Hughes is Derby fans have ALWAYS over rated him . I have sat and watched him loads , he doesnt score enough goals and his biggest problem is he is the maestro of the sideways safe pass nearly 95% of his time . Vastly and i mean vastly over rated by our own fans .

* There are 3 interested bidders that Quantuma are still negotiating with. Each bid is complicated and each is taking time for Quantuma to fully evaluate based on different elements in them.
* Negotiations with HMRC have been extremely positive, but no deal is ever agreed with HMRC until the final proposal is on the table.
* There are verbal agreements with Mel Morris and MSD Capital with regard to the ground.
* Discussions with regard to transfers and contract extensions are being had, but no decisions will be made until the preferred bidder is announced to allow them to make their own decisions.

Problem is you can’t make decisions if those above you aren’t making decisions either. The thought that having tens of thousands in a stadiums right now doesn’t seem right at all and that’s before considering the players. 
New variant or not, a proper winter break should have be being enforced on this season with more midweek games in warmer months
