Of all the things that currently need addressing, I’d say the atmosphere is right at the bottom of the pile.

Just time out to thank the Mods at this time. Cant imagine how difficult it must be to keep on top of the volume of posts also at a time when feelings are running high. Think we'd all be lost without this forum so thank you

It hasn't actually. They have been in touch with EFL and shared their reply to RT members and on Twitter.
They have prepared an email template for fans to use with MPs and contacted the ones they can,  directly, sharing responses.
I haven't posted any of this on here because of the antagonism that people who aren't members show towards them whenever I do.
This board is not, some may be surprised to find out, the centre of the universe!
I hope the tone of this reply matches that of those of Parry.

I’m not an apologist for Mel Morris, and I wish he’d stuck to what he said he wanted to achieve , rather than compromise it by wasting millions on poor value players. So what am I suggesting he did right? Let’s look at the contribution of the academy yesterday, and acknowledge that for all his other failings, he left us something to be proud of. Just a shame he made such a spectacular mess of the rest of it.

I've sent him an email telling him that I'm a Nigerian prince, and I wish to forward him £100m that he is owed, but I first need £10m to get my money out of the country. Once that's sent over, that ought to cover Derby's costs until the end of the season.
Think he might fall for it, you know.

Says almost nothing that could be considered 'new' and is all conjecture. Of course the Admin would have to provide 'proof of funds' #shitstirring

Pardon me for my ignorance ( and not reading 110+ pages in massive detail) but I assume that there is a big difference between naming a preferred bidder and actually coming out of administration? Obvs it would be positive news, but doesn't necessarily end the pain?

You're right, naming a preferred bidder isn't coming out of administration.
It means that bid has won over the others (but a deal hasn't been completed), and in context of "discussion with EFL" means the bid is likely to address their concerns, so giving a relatively clear path forward.
Essentially if the EFL were to say "we don't like this for X reason" the administrators go back to the bidders and say "can you change your offer to meet X?" - it's a round a round of trying to do a deal that doesn't cause extra problems.
But of course, until the deal is done, things could always go wrong.

I believe (I may be incorrect as I too haven't managed to keep up with this thread much) that once a preferred bidder is announced he essentially takes over as almost an interim owner so to speak. He'll make decisions over stuff to do with the football club whilst the administrators continue negotiations with the creditors, EFL, Mel etc. for non football related matters. And if I'm not mistaken he will then also help fund the club's running costs until the takeover is fully complete. So once one is announced it should ease the worries of liquidation for longer and should also make it much less likely we'll lose players for cheap.

    I'm ignorant.
But I'm thinking it's like going to speed dating 3 or 4 times and leaving empty handed.. then finally coming home with a phone number and a date to meet up...you're not in bed together but you're definitely washing your bits.....

If all that is true, you’d expect his anger to have subsided significantly over the years having actually seen Waghorn play.
